Default Some ppl should know better

No t his is snot a kill story, so if yo are looking for a kill story go eslewhere, and it's all imaginary anyway, so just go find a good book to read, same t hing.

So I was cruising down the Freeway (Perth, Australia) heading south, my exit maybe a kilometre down the road (yes it's all in metric, so get your metric convertors out). The weather was not great, overcast, a slight drizzle about 10 minutes previously had left the roads damp but not wet. Doing the speed limit of 110 Kph (of course, wouldn't go under, weather and traffic permitting, while out for a Sunday drive). There was a long line of traffic in the curb lane going slower than the limit, probably an old couple out for a drive and afraid the slippery roads would throw their family sedan off the road and into a tree of they dared go more than 80Kph. Not enough time to pass at 110Kph, so I eased the foot down, only up to 140Kph or so, no big deal, and cruised past the lead cars in plenty of time to pull left and slow down for my exit. Easy driving, but I did notice a car pull out of the pack and follow me up the exit in a hurry to catch up.

There were traffic lights at the top, and a flyover, I was turning right to cross over the Freeway. ( remember we drive on the other side of the road). The lights at the top being red gave me plenty of time to study my pursuer in case he was the law. It wasn't a sporty car, certainly nothing like even my 79's performance, more a family sedan type vehicle, an Australian family sedan mind you. To give you an idea of what I mean by an "Australian" family sedan, once a few years ago a Torana GTR XU1 was described in the state Newpaper as a "120Mph Supercar". People over here simply don't buy a V8 as a family sedan. This was likely a 3 litre 6 cylinder in a body that made a 928 look like a light car, so performance wasn't an item that was worth considering, and he looked young, so it was probably his parents car.

All in all not worth bothering with, so the lghts turned green, I pulled away, not with huge acceleration, the road was damp remember, but enough to get me away at a fair pace but not break the rear tyres free. So I straighten out, look in the rear view miirror, and noticed he had tried to follow me at the same pace.

It was about that moment he suddenly realised he wasn't driving a Porsche, his last name wasn't Michael Schumacher, and that big silver thing getting rapidly closer in the rear view mirror was the side guard rail of the overpass. By the time I lost sight of him the rear of his car was acting like a cats tail as its bicycle tyre width rubber tried to get hold of the road and straighten out. He must have made it, as I was slowing for the next intersection he was just coming into sight, however it must have been brown trouser time for him because after that he hung well back and didn't even try to stay up with me.

As the thread says, some ppl should know better! Anybody else got an amusing story that doesn't involve kills? Purely fiction of course
