Factory TT hollow spokes
I got tired of searching for the info...easier to just ask
18" factory porsche turbo twist hollow spokes with these specs
front... 18x8 et 50
rear .... 18x11 et 45
Can they be shoehorned onto an S4? I understand some flaring will be need in the back.
Ive seen them on a GTS .. i love the style...and they are LIGHT!
TIA

We have put a couple of sets on just like that. I have another set on the way with race rubber for my track car, can't find a lighter/stronger/cheaper combination. Check out the pics of Folding Wing 5-speed's car for an idea of how they'll fit. We have also found that 295/35/18's fit the best, actually fill out the rear fenderwell nicely.

Hey Tony.
I hope so. I have those wheels ready for the 89. The 45 offset will be tough, but fender rolling should be done anyway.

Yes Tony, they are on an 87' S4. The fenders were flared about 1/2" at the most. The white supercharged 89' has the same offsets and width and we flared the rear quarters on it without damaging the factory paint. A true lip roller will do the job nicely, I wouldn't trust it to a baseball bat. (sorry Mark K.!)

tony,
i have these on my 86 with GTS flares and 315 rubber. ive got 295 rubber under the arches of my S4 on 19" rims with a similar offset so id agree that 295 is the optimal size rubber for the S4. minimal fender rolling is required, i did mine with a broom handle on a sunny afternoon (warm metal and paint). id also recomend michelin pilot sport 2 for rubber, just excellent tires!

Hey Tony-
The 295 30's were wearing thin, so I just replaced them with 295 35's. I think they look better, if I can I will shoot some pics and send to you. Or, Dave do you have time before I pick up the car?

Just before he left....
I grabbed some quick pics of his 87' w/hollow spoke 8" & 11", 50mm and 45mm offsets. 225/40/18 on the front and 295/35/18 rears. (P-Zero)

Three Wheelin'
Don't they also make them in a 10 inch with a 65 et? You could run the 10's up front with the 11's in the rear. But the difficulty would be to find broken sets.

The 10s in a 65mm offset and hollow spoke are the EARLIER version of the "turbo twist" TT and "4S" 996 and 993 wheels. I have a set painted black for my 78, but I still rolled the rear fenders so I could maximize the rubber on the 10s.
