When you get back - tell me how you ran the wires from the carpet hole up to the door wire tunnel, and where did you set the small transformers.
Thanks.

Wiring - You just have to be creative. You need to run some additional wire from the light, through the plastic tube and back to the EL strip. The wires are very thin, so you can put them under the carpet and you won't see them.
After fishing the wires from the light through the black plastic tube, I simply pulled the carpet on the inside of the fender back and snaked them through to the floorpan and then back to make your connections. On the diver's side I was abe to stick the transformer under the seat - It's about a 1" cube. On the passenger side I put it under the amp cover. It's one of those thngs that become very apperant once you get there. You know you have to connect the wires, so you just do it.
Follow up note: I just noticed the my driver side is flickering when I open the door. Not sure if it's the switch, my wiring or the transformer. Pass side is good. Comes on instantly. Will update ASAP.

Does it have the "Do It Yourself" manual transmission, or the superior "Fully Equipped by Porsche" Automatic Transmission?

You know, this has started the little wheels (in the head) moving about other places that this could be applied. One I was thinking of (though I haven't been in there) is under the shift plate for automatics to light up the letters (PRND32).

I've put in an order for the 1.5" wide strips.
I emailed the seller to make sure they were indeed that width but he as not replied yet.
I will update with new information when I get it.

Hey all,
I just received a response from the seller on eBay:
"Hi Paul, Thank you for your purchase - I thought I had answered. sorry. These strips are 1.25" iluminated - with the lamanination they are 1.5 but only 1.25 illuminated - if this will not work for you I will be happy to refund you money."
I ordered them anyway as I'm satisfied with Andrew's results. Hope mine turn out as good.

Andrew + Roger,
Many thanks for the kind offer to forward these on. I'll be in touch when i've decided on the color (probably the weekend........heavy workload at the moment) I'm favouring the blue at the moment to match the LED on the Clifford alarm i have fitted.
If my memory serves me correct i'm sure you can retrofit the shift light illumination from earlier models. Brackets are already in place for the bulb etc.
