Loren,
I checked in to having them made in steel, but the cost was quite high at around $2700 a pair. I decided to go with glass fiber, or carbon fiber, with either white or clear gel coat. I found some urethane adhesive that is made to bond composite to steel and should eliminate the separation problem that can happen. It's also a lot easier to bond material than welding where the inside panels and maybe the rear quarter window may need to be removed and the welding will mess up the rust proofing/undercoat too. This way it's almost easy.

Nicole posts on the supercharger thread...." there is a well established company behind it, with the knowledge, experience, and resources to provide technical support.

Many people forget that when you pay for a good or service, you are not only paying for the immediate value you are getting. You are also paying for access to the people who have the know-how to provide the product or service. If the latter is not included, the solution might be cheap, but the company might not be there when you need it..........."

I hope the Devek headers aren't cheap, I didn't think they were inexpensive (of course I am frugal). I am anxiously waiting for my set.

very well put jim. and just to add some fuel, the solution may be expensive and the company might still not be there when you need them.

I'm curious if anyone else is in the same boat as I am. My credit card was charged in August for the two sets of headers I ordered. Now I've got a dilemna, my 60 day time period to contest the charge is coming up and I'm tempted to retract the charge. The reasons that I'm contemplating this are:
1) I didn't think I would be charged prior to shipping of the product;
2) It appears that others that beleive they are on the group buy list have not been charged in advance for their orders;
3) No status on where we are on the progress of manufacture/shipping of the product.

Anyone else out there already paid in, or am I the only lucky one.

I've got no interest here, other than as it applies to "928 exhaust systems" in general, but I didn't think these headers were due for delivery until as late as the first week of November. Did I misread the original post?
