Default Houston Texas area 928 owners!

I have a 1985 928 that I bought in a partially disassembled state, and am to the point where it would be very helpful to have a similar model year 928 side by side to make sure that things are going back in the same place from where the SPO removed them.I'm dying to get this shark back on the road!

I'm located in NE Houston, a few minutes from IAH at 59 and the Beltway. If you'd be interested in helping out by bringing your baby around so I could compare and get some photos if things run late, that would be great! Call or PM me and we can schedule a convenient time!

Thanks,

James Espey

James, what all do you have left to do to get it back where you want it to be?

I have an 86.5 that you are more than welcome to take a look at. I am going on vacation but I'm sure we can work something out. PM me and I'll give you my phone number.

Default where's the flux capicitor?

I was able to make it over to James' shop today to try to help him sort out some connection issues... I hope he doesn't mind me posting some of the pictures of my field-trip today?

His 'shop' is totally cool!

I forgot to ask him about the 'flux capicitor' (like he's never heard that one before...)

A Delorean with a Eunos 3-rotor twin-turbo with Porsche 6-speed has been done. How about an M28 powered Delorean?

Thanks, everyone! As the photos show, Troy came by my office/shop Tuesday afternoon for a look-see and some photos that should get me through a good part of the way.

Things left to do:

- Check all vacuum line routing
- Mount PS pump
- Sort out starting problem
- double check everything else :-)

Ideally, once I have it all "together", I'd like to get someone to come
by for an weekend afternoon (when we are closed), and we can pull both
cars in the air conditioned (sorry about making you sweat, Troy!) showroom and sort out the electrics. They don't appear to have been messed with by a PO, but I want to be sure. I know none of the history of this particular car.

Thanks, again!

Troy and I also talked about getting the SE Texas 928 owners together as a loose group for tech stuff like this, social events, etc. This past week in NE Houston, I've now seen 3 other 928's on the road. I put goether a "quickie" website at:

http://www.texas928.com

And it directs people to a mailing list to get things started. With word coming about the Marble Falls event in September, it'd be nice to get a good group from the Houston area to all caravan over together. Also might be able to put together a tech day here at my office/shop where we'd all have access to the lifts, etc for minor maintenance.

Hey James -

I live in Katy, Texas. Drive an 88 928 S4. I would be happy to let you give it a look.

I am eager to help in getting the Houston 928 owners together. Let me know what I can do to help.

Richard
