You sure did there Heinriky!

One of the first things I asked when I got to Tahoe is if you were scheduled to show. I was actually surprised that more of the central and northern coasters didn't attend. I think that there could have easily been 20 more cars within 2-4 hours of Tahoe.

Usually, the first year on events are kinda light...unless you get lucky. If it turns out to be a success (as this one did) the 2nd year more folks pile on.

Yip...yoooouuuu missed it!

OK, so what's our target for next year? I'd say 20 cars minimum. We can do it!

I have had an unusually busy year for business, which is of course a good thing, but not only that, I've had a couple of people drop me at the last moment ... for SITM my bags were packed and an hour before leaving I got a message that made it impossible to go. Lost the tickets etc. Well, planning is the name of the game ... and I'm doing my best. I am glad Keith that this year saw more 928 gatherings than ever before. That makes me happy.

I hoped to see more PacNWers attend. Louie is from your "southern" fringe. I tried to get Jerry G out of his Seattle condo, but his poor black S4 rarely sees long road trips - I guess his "southern" '83 gets the long distance duty.

I absolutely agree! I think that the more events there are, the more folks will come out and enjoy their cars, get educated, meet other enthusiasts, strengthen the community and by some strange chance, increase awareness of the cars to the non owner which just might increase it's value.

Bottom line, these events are important and just a great time to atttend!

I think had we even discussed the Tahoe trip up here at all, you might have seen more nw-ers there. I have one 928 now in the kind of shape where I feel comfortable driving long trips like that, but not long ago there were too many outstanding service items ... little things like tyres; stereo; saggy suspension; 4-cyl mode; interior overhaul ... with so many older 928's, the fun is all the little jobs it takes getting them up-to-snuff. But it sometimes means you have many irons in the fire, and that means sometimes you can't go on drives.

When we were passing the casinos, Jim G. Heard a gy say to his buddy "Look at this!" - and the other gur exclaimed "Holy s#!t!"

I don't think these guys came from an area where the 928 is very common...

All I know is that my display never showed more than 130 this past weekend. I can't recall, if I had it set to mph or km/h at the time...

(actually, I do - there goes my innocence...)

Just a quick note to say thank you to Tim and Cheryl for their kindness and hospitality; for all their efforts in producing this event, and to say thank you as well to the friends we've met this past weekend. Got back to work Tuesday (had my S4 smogged after a 1,000+ mile trip Monday, passed no problem) and things are back to being busy. I'll try to add more impressions ASAP.

The Saturday run was a real thrill. Reminds me of a ski event, the Super-G. Only difference, the 928 can do hairpins and go uphill.

Hi Ron & Debbie, glad everything went well going home, we have to plan Morro Bay some other time.

HUM,

I can only think of one place that might have happened. Remember the BMW X5 and the loaded farmers truck after lunch? How long did we follow them. I think we might have hit that briefly ourselves when we went around. Don't lie now Bill, you were behind me.
