Default So Torque Tube bearings, ebay style.

First Try:

Second Try

Seems like we have a few winners. ATV bearing? NICE!

Sealed or shielded?

Does it really matter? Nothing gets in there, but it IS hot in there I can assume:

Maybe buy a couple of these:

basic bearings

Makes me want to do the 78 as well.

Especially since Jager has these (inserts that go between the bearing and the TT shaft - they break)

Now stuff like this is where a bulk buy is in order! The price goes down enormously in volume with bearings. Like $5 for 1, to $2 each for 10, to $1 each for 50 - dont quote me on this particular brg, but thats the scale of how it can work. My wrench buys 6202s for various uses in volume for pennies almost.

I just thought it was interesting that Ebay has them. I like ebay when it provides interesting things I need to buy.

The job can take 2 hours ot 6 hours depending on the tightness of those bearing supports in the tube. The write-ups that exist currently are pretty much spot on. You jyst have to think outside the box sometimes to do it quicker.

My 89 WAS quiet. No noise at all out of the ordinary. 75k miles. TT bearings were letting the shaft move 2mm or so at the long end when I inspected it. 2 were "scratchy" when spun after removal.

Well, I installed them in the carriers tonight with the original inner bushing things. They were really in good shape. I assume the 78s will not be. They are NTNs.
