Default S4 totalled by INS Co....but lives again to see SITM!!!!

Just heard from Jim Bailey at 928 Intl. My last bits of bumper bolts were just delivered. By FedEx $$$. The inner bumper is already bolted on. I took a hair dryer and was able to get a good amount of the deformations out of the SMACKED bumper cover. The cover fits up well but there is a 3" long tear in one of the bumperette holes. Just have to start bolting the cover back on and install the lights and the RMB. The S4 lives again and will be at SITM....with some very sorry looking rear paint. Anyone have one of them Gigantic sized Band-Aides to stick on it.

Thanks again to 928 Spec., 928 Intl. and Walt K. for some great parts help!!!!

Excellent! Finally we're getting stories of sharks brought back from the dead instead of the other way around.

Does the Best Western (aka Party Central) in Banner Elk
still have the hot tub in the central courtyard?

Way to go, JE.
Hope you don't have any neck/back pain from that shunt.
Well nothing a slight application of Tequila can't fix.

Oh..I know who Walt is...he cant muster up the nads to give me a call so he can get a ride in my car every time he pass through here. He has done a lot of glider flying in Jean Nv apparantly and likes the SOCAL area. Few have met him..others still wonder if he really exists

Got it back together and running this weekend. Have it at work with me today. Still need to fasten up the bottom of the rear cover. I need to manufacture a little metal strip to use instead of washers so I can crank down on the tiny bolts that hold the rear cover on. There is a nice little gap there and the entire cover will probably get ripped off if I go over 80. I need to get some pics, but some will see it next weekend at SITM.

No worries JE - we know you would never consider exceeding 80, the maximim safe speed on land and sea, thereby risking the lives of every other road user not only here .... but on every road on every planet in the UNIVERSE.

Yup, that's true.

Gotnthe 83 cleaned up for you this weekend, but it will probably be wearing a ton of green pollin by the weekend. We'll have to blow it off on the way to SITM.
