Good Job Adam,
I should give you an award for begining to installing your kit in the shortest amount of time after you received it. I think he started working on it the day he got it. Seems like about half the folks let them sit around and ripen for a while.

As far as the hose slipping off the TB, if you spray wd40 around any of the hoses to check for vacuum leaks and find one, be sure to remove the hose and clean the hose and tube with some solvent to remove he lubricant or else the hose may just slip right off. It the TB were slipping not because of WD40 then I would have just drilled 4 holes in the mounting surface and popped some rivits in them so the hose/clamp couldn't slide off. Looks good though.

I like the cable routing. We eventually did something similar with Mike's car. The problem is that you lose cruise control. I don't mind that but most people would object. I used to weld the tubes together but needed the swivel points of the hoses to adjust the throttle body correctly.

Now get a $39.95 G-tech and use those brand new 315s you have to get me a sub 4 sec 0-60.
What were you saying about your friends new AMG?

Adam..you have any info/specs on the rims and any mods you did to get 315s on there?
Thats where im heading soon. Im shopping around for some differnt rims trying to decide on a style. Im partial to the 996 twists that Mark Anderson's son has on his car.
Im only .5 from that sub 4 also. I may be able to wing it with drag radials but i want to do it in a "street driven" config.

Tony,

315's take a good amount of massaging of the fender to fit and/or higher ride height.

It also depends on the actual tire mfg. and actual tire model since all 315's are not the same size.
When I went from the 315 Hoosier S03 to the Hoosier S04 I have some minor rubbing problems on the track car.

Hi Guys,

The 315s are on the same rims as my avatar. They are Forgeline wheels, 255s in the fornt, 315 on the rear, which are on 11.5" rims on the rears. Not sure about how wide the fronts are. Tony, I don't think Mark sells those 996 twists in such a wide rim. You really ought to have an 11.5" wide rim or better to fit 315s!

Andy - thanks much - GTECH on the way. That E55 AMG is freaking fast, though. I think I'm a little faster by the butt-o-meter, but we'll see.

My boss and this guy just raced. He has a CL-600 biturbo which has been brabused. Makes 570HP/ 600 tq. at the crank. E55 is lighter and makes 469 / 516 - E55 smoked him by half a car length! Right here in the parking lot!

John, buddy! good to hear from you - yes they require alot of "massaging" but IMHO look and work great.

Hi Adam,

Glad you have the power you were looking for in a much shorter tme frame
My GT is getting slower ever day.

Your rear wheels may actually be 11" unless you spec. them to build as 11.5"
Time to roll the front fender and put on some 275's up front.

John,

You're right - they are 11"
