RUF 928 ? Has there ever been one?

From all that I have read, there was never a 928 done.
Lots of 928's had RUF wheels, steering wheels etc and the inly V8 they made was for a green 911 variant (the intake was reversed and could not fit the 928 engine.
If you look at their 80-Years Tribute video the only mention of the 928 (at 6:50 mins) was that they were going in the direction of the 911.

Those are US Fogs/Driving Lights as well.
On The Euros the inside lights are clearer and not highly diffused like the US versions.
Either it's a fake or it has been US converted (together with that bumperette)
This is what the Euros look like:

Never was it said to be a ROW car & from where it was imported from. Car arrived with Puerto Rico plate. Nor was it said when this car was built, but it defintely was built by Ruf. Car was picked up by Ruf employees and had been informed it was a 1 of 1. Happy Holidays

Ok, I play
So it's a black (L700) with burgundy interior (YZ) 1989 US automatic 928 S4 with:
Sunroof
Rear AC
seat heating left
no right seat memory
which was modified with Ruf parts.
But it never was build from a bare shell when new nor had a Ruf VIN.
Is this correct?
Thanks for the pictures and sharing

That pretty well sums it up. slapping a hood badge on it after adding calipers, rotors, wheels and a steering wheel, is not a RUF built car. It appears to be a nice 928 with some nice upgraded parts but that is as far as it goes.

Specific Ruf VIN, then...
That is much more interesting but I would like to learn about the complete story
When was it modified, by who and why does it have a Ruf VIN instead of the original Porsche VIN?
