Default Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely, President's Day SUPERMODEL Dyno, JR's for BBQ

In honor of the Presidency I will be at the Dyno Jet at Lamar Walden Automotive in Doraville, GA at 4:00 on Monday for a display of power and some fuel consumption.
I'll be dynoing the Jag/Eaton M112 Stage 3 intercooled system on my '87 S4 automatic .
Last time 7 people including a special guest appearance by Wally Plumey.
Since this is a holiday, hopefully we'll have a few more people to have BBQ with at JR's afterwards.
I believe Howard, owner of Automotive Technologies will be there. He is a very knowledgeable and experienced 928 and Porsche technician and also remanufactures and tests Porsche powersteering pumps and racks.

From 285 get off on Buford Highway North. Go 1.6 miles North on Buford Highway. Take a right on Steve Drive. (If you look closely you'll see a sign for Lamar Walden obscured by a fence at Steve Drive on Buford Highway.)
They are about a block down on the left. 310 872 6207 if you get lost.

Everyone interested is welcome! Hope to see you there!

Also,
When I am done with the dyno I will be taking this setup off and selling it as a complete kit so I can start experimenting with the twin-screw system again. The price will be $4880.00. This is what I normally would sell this at with a re-built SC but this setup includes an almost new (maybe 1000 mi on my car) Jag/Eaton M112.

Andy,

Will you be testing the new breather/intake system on Monday?

Gier,
I was talking about the 32v twin-screw. I have to have my 32v car running with an SC on it because it's my daily driver. So the experimentation comes naturally. I won't be spending much time on it, really just dynoing it w/ higher boost. When I sell the Jag/Eaton setup that is on my car now then I will have some funds to pick up the 16V stuff again. I probably have 75-85% of the parts complete for the 16V but just a few things to work out, mainly just making the remaining parts economically feasable. On that topic what are you willing to pay for a 16v twin-screw setup?

It would be great to have the same kind of variety you have for the 32V.
Have the option for a cheap, non-intercooled, 5psi Jag/Eaton setup that is pretty cheap,
and then also have an intercooled twin-screw setup, that you can charge more for...

My guess is that you will sell a lot more 16v kits, if they are cheaper.

The people who want to go nuts with the horsepower will be the people with 32v engines already.

It would be nice to have those options....It will also be nice if the 16v projects pay for themselves. I doubt they will. But since I already have over $10K in it and I promised Jim Bailey one and he already traded me some stuff, I'll still be going for it. Of course I want one too!

Andy:

Any description/pics of the new breather/intake you are testing? Can existing kits be modified to take advantage of it?

Andy, That's cool. Care to share target numbers for this setup?

Bill,
It just splits the 3.5" tubing into 2 2.5" tubes and then passes the 2.5" tubes through the holes in the fan shroud to a filter with dual 2.5" outlets in front of the radiator. Maybe I'll have a pic by the end of the weekend.

Ed,
Shooting for over 400 at the wheels, 500 at the crank. I plan to use 3-4 pulley sizes for 3 runs each.
Are you gonna to be there?

Andy.

Looking at Your pricing policy for Your 32v set up, I picture the prices for the 16v in the same range...around 5K + the intercooler. Not that I would know whats involved when it comes down to Your time on the project and parts involved offcourse.
Are You far off on whats indicated above?

Jim is correct. If works out Bill, I can even ship yours this way next week but it will be a few extra $ as it is a more expensive filter, requires some aluminum fabricating and welding and require more tubing. I can already tell you that it will be fine for the 5psi setup you're getting. Just want to make sure it isn't too restrictive for much more power.
