Default New Product- arm rest support

We are offering a great new product that saves your expensive door arm rest. The common problem is that the 5 attachment points are all plastic and they easily break. This new product provides a steel backing plate that solves that issue.

Put a set aside for me!!!!!!!!!! My 82 has that syndrome! Drivers door arm rest is held on by 3 bolts!

Sure beats the fiberglassing I was going to do to fix it!

Thanks Mark!

Mark, will these reinforce panels that are already cracked, preventing further damage?

I just made the same thing from Aluminium, I also made a piece for the other side, this way the plastic is in a sandwich situation. I them used pop rivets and Loctite 3801 with roughned plastic and aluminium and glued them together. You can drill the plastic to let the glue through the new holes and this again will hold it very well, as Im sure you'll realise that not many glues like that plastic.
Well done just a thought for future development.

We did also similar supports for relatives '78 and attached them with rivets and glue. Made significant difference. Whole panel feels stronger and handle doesn't give in when pulled like it did before. Good to see product like this.

Excellent. Is this OK to use on armrests that are already missing a couple attachment points?

Good question. I've got a repaired armrest that I'm afraid to install because I don't want it to crack again!
