Engine Compartment Stickers/Labels
#16
I think most of these stickers are still available from Porsche, I know I replaced quite a few of them when I did my resto. Probably is the cheapest route to go, also the least hassle. If somebody was to make them up that would be good too. As long as they turned out like the originals.

Here are the engine compartment stickers from my '91 VIN 0102:
Note that the firing order sticker has a gold colored backing, unlike in Bill's car. They must have gone back and forth on this... If you can get me a sticker that looks like the original, I'll buy two - in case I ever need a new radiator.

Greg: I'm sure we'd all just rather buy the stickers from Porsche. I have been told by the Dealer that the 'Shell' sticker is NLA. When I ordered the 'H.V.' sticker it substituted to the '964' yellow version, which I hear is now NLA too. The only one I had success with was the blue 'Brake Fluid' one. Basically, from what I can gather, none of the Gold stickers are available in that form any more.
In any case, how about telling us what stickers you have, and where. Pictures would be nice too.

Nicole: Thanks for the pictures. Do you have rear A/C? I wonder if that 'R12" stickers is valid for my 83 w/o rear AC? Does the 'R12' sticker have no Porsche P/N? Is it hiding under the white label beside it, or is their just none? Is your 'Silicone Remover' sticker yellow? It looks like a couple of stickers migrated onto the rain shield on later cars. On earlier cars the 'Shell' sticker is on the air filter cover, and the 'Silicone Remover' sticker is at the very front of the engine compartment on the fluid reservoir.

Nicole - I think my firing order sticker was originally gold foil. It appears to wear off leaving a silver surface. My HV warning label is a mixture of gold and silver areas.

Eric,
Put me down for a set suitable for 83 Euro (single distribuor), and anything to do with CIS please. Can one still get the windscreen 'nicht pflappen das throttle in gestartup mode' stickers - mine went when new screen went in...
thanks,
jp 83 Euro S AT 48k

Could someone please measure the dimensions of the Firing Order (both single & dual distributor versions) and R12 stickers? So far Nicole is the only one with an R12 sticker, but several others of you could provide the info. for the F.O. one. I would like to at least see if I can get the new stickers made the exact size of the originals, but I don't have access to originals of either of these two.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I'm interested in a set of new stickers. I've attached pictures of some of the ones my '83 has. The R-12 one measures 90mm X 40mm and is part number 928 701 141 02. The fan warning on the condensor is 928 701 151 03.

I see 2 different R12 stickers pictured. Guess the higher capacity one if for the rear air cars (like mine). The ones shown are yellow. I think pre- 90 were foil, but not sure. Eric, it's a chore just to figure out which ones might be worth doing. Certainly, the earlier foil ones are the unobtaniums.
