Default "928 Stuff Wanted" - Read before posting

Please adhere to the rules so this thread will remain permanent

1. This thread is for people looking for 928 stuff that they have tried unsuccessfully to find(or afford) through regular channels(Big 3, etc.) or used stuff.
2. If you post a request for an item and find it, PLEASE DELETE your post so everyone knows you've got it. This will also keep the length of the thread shorter
3. If you see a request for an item please PM the requester rather than cluttering up the thread. Only reply on the thread if you are unable to reach the requester via PM or email.

If an inappropriate post is made you will be asked to remove or edit it.
Thanks to everyone who helped make the "Free 928 Stuff" thread truly unique to the 928 Forum. I am posting this thread in hopes it can be topped like the "Free Stuff" thread, and folks can keep track of what's available vs what's being sought after a little easier. Yes, I've plagiarized Rixter, but at least I'm admitting it, and after all, it was a great idea.

I'll start: I'm looking for a black headliner with NO WARPAGE for my sunroofless 78. Second choice would be the same thing in a different color.

I need sewn leather a-pillar covers. These are the covers that sit on either side of the windshield. Must be leather and must be sewn. I'm also looking for a sewn leather cassette box and cover. Plus, I want a metal early gas cap.

Several a-pillars in excellent shape (vinyl)
In trade (and only trade, no selling) I have:
rear ac units in vinyl and leather
front seats S4
complete seat set '85
various interior trim pieces leather and vinyl
various S4; GT and GTS muffler/cat combinations
used ac lines
one 7" H4 light
Porsche CD-2
sunroofless roof
several centre consoles
Bosch injector connector removal tool
and a bunch of other stuff

I have a tan interior being shipped to me, once I get a chance to see what I have I will probably have a black leather interior available. Heinrich, I don't know off the top of my head if the a pillars are leather. I would also prefer a bulk sale to selling individual pieces. I will try to keep this thread informed.....

I've tweaked Rule#1 a bit... We'll see how it goes. I was hoping to avoid having the thread get all bloated with "I'm looking for a fuse" or "I'm looking for a marker light bulb" little stuff.... My intent was to create a post where people could try to obtain items that are truly hard to find.

I found a source... (well Mark A directed me to him) for brand new front windshields. These are the good ones.

Default little non available items

I have been trying to locate a couple of small items and would be glad to pay for them. The first is the strike plate located on tne passenger side of the hood. This plate closes the hood switch when the hood is closed. Currently, I am using some very ugly foam tape. The second item is the little metal clips that keep the heater blower housing together. I am missing two. Neither of these items are available through the Big Three. Thanks for any help.

Usable cam gears and oil pump gear....the ones the timing belt turns. "Usable" as in not shiny because they still have their teflon coating.

Mine are waaaay shiny.

I don't need all this but I'm collecting spares for most critical parts for my 1985S, 32V. I would like to buy a complete Timing Belt tensioner body that bolts to the front of the engine block AND the accompaning tensioner arm (I'll rebuild the tensioner, and if you don't have the arm...I can do with just the tensioner body if it has the expanding washers in it). I'd need a photo of the dimple indent side of the arm to make sure that it's the right setup. Buying the whole kit from the Big 3 just to sit it on the shelf is pretty pricey. Make me a fair offer I can live with and I'll send out the $$ right away. Thanks.

I coud use a black vinyl lid to the armrest box. Mine has holes from a PO fitting an eighties cell phone to it.

Also a set of STRAIGHT side mouldings, red?

Similar to Sterling - I need the console trim that goes around the shifter, but for an early car. The piece I need has a large round hole in the center for the clock with a smaller circular hole on each side for the hazard lights and seat belt light. Any color is fine.

Anybody? I will pay good money for one in excellent condition. Thanks
