I hate it when my schwarz gets disconnected!! So, Sean, If I were you I wouldn't reach up under the fender skirt (or whatever) and start pulling on stuff without your car's permission (painfully reminds me of a woman I used to know).

I'm not too particular who I buy a car from as long as I feel that I get what I thought I was bargaining for. 928s in particular, by their very nature, have to be suspect mechanically/electrically and require an honest look-over and PPI. I'm not going to buy a car based on anyone's description on eBay, sight unseen. That's a leap of blind faith. Sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't. However, if the photos and the description and the pointed pre-purchase questions and price sound good...I'd travel to the car and check it out first hand. You can get a roundtrip ticket about anyplace in the US for the price of few 928 gas caps or spoiler. Personally, I be hesitant to sell a car to a friend for fear something might go wrong with it that I didn't know about the very next week, jeopardizing my friendship. That's worth more than a profit or a sell to me.

Would I buy a car from Sean, Willhoit, Honest Bob's Used Cars, the local Porsche Dealer, et al? Yes...absolutely....but I'd look it over carefully before plunking any money down, like I would with anyone else.

Not touching the whos's, who or what, nor do I care!

I just have one question:

Which horn?

The 928 has three of them in two locations.

It seems to be the alarm horn... I disconnected the alarm fuse then the horn fuse. Most people would think "problem solved"....not. Thing wont give up. I cannot hook positive battery lead back to terminal or its go time. I know its coming from the passenger rear of engine compartment and seems to burried deep in the recess of the space..... I cannot imagine it being anything other then factory.
