Nicole,
WOW! Thanks for the info! Every little piece helps. The rear spoiler is in the same color as the car. I thought that it must have been painted after the fact. As with the Porsche N.A. certificate of authenticity, they don't actually list all of the option codes that the car has. Interesting though that your friends VIN search is much more comprehensive than Porsche of NA. Still only about half of them, but many of the other codes have already been deciphered.
Too bad he doesn't have / can't get records for who from the factory was driving the car for year 1. That would be worth a bottle of fine wine for you and one for your friend. Worth a try?
About the other info, I do truly appreciate your help. I will have to go back to your website and invest in some Porsche 928 products. Next week when I get back into the country. Win win for you and me!
Thanks again, Nicole.

Hi Cameron:
What country are you in these days? I guess it's not Germany...
I'm very curious about this one: Are only your front seats supple leather, or all of them?

FANTASTIC JOB Nicole
Can't tell you how valuable this is but I'm sure you know anyway. I had been told that my C26 was Singapore. Do you know why there are parallel codes for the same countries?
TKs a million

I have no idea, but if Singapore cars use the same code, my guess would be that Singapore might be too small of a market to have its own code. Mandy just wrote that right hand drive cars are required over there - same as in your country. Maybe the rest of the equipment is the same also - I really don't know at this point.

Nicole,
I was in Barbados and St. Lucia for business. The car is in Florida.
The back seats appear to be supple leather as well. They don't have the perforations in the leather and they appear 'pillowy' as well.
There is a whole bunch of other option codes, most of the others are known. Do you want the whole list?
Thanks,
Cameron

Hi,
Are you familiar with this list of option codes? It says that it is a 901/911 list but I understand the M list starting on page 5 is common to all Porsche models inc. 928, also country codes, etc are the same. It is a "wide document" so make sure that you set adobe small enough so you can see both columns
http://www.adrianstreather.com/docs/Options.pdf
according to that list
980 Seat cover ruffled leather
981 All leather lining
982 Soft leather look seats
983 Leather seats front and rear
321 Radio CR-22

Hmm. That build sticker says 928 910. Mine says 928 940. What is the significance of the number that follows the '928'. Is it somehow year dependent?
