To all,
My 94 GTS has arrived and it is truly an amazing vehicle.
I have put about 200 miles on it over the weekend and here is my initial impressions over my old 89 S-4 which had 2.54 rear end with LSD
1. The HP/ TQ difference is noticable both off the line and at speed.
Not so much off the line as the A/T and increased weight and 2nd gear starts are something that must be gotten used to. At speed this car flat out throws the hammer down. This car is clearly faster than the S-4 at speed. Best is the top gear acceleration, in the S-4 I would usually drop to third for an quick pass in the GTS this can usually been done in fourth.
2. Steering is even more precise than I remember in the S-4 which is saying alot. Thie car seems happy with almost any line through a curve that I give it.
3. The car ride is firm but comfortable. Between this and the steering I have a really good sense of the road.
4. The 89 S-4 with RMB at crusing speed was loud window up and really loud window down. The GTS with RMB I cannot hear window up and is a plesant loud window down.
5. I think my favorite thing so far which I hated in the S-4 is gear selection and timing. On the S-4 unless I manualy shifted it always seemed to up shift on me when I didn't want it to. The GTS so far always seems to be in the right gear.

Ok these are the photos that Todd sent me...
The car was in as described condition... it is cherry.
Also this is the GTS that will be in development for the Twinscrewed Supermodel. If I can keep this car in one piece, 3 time will be the charm.

So... Speaking of supercharged GTS's...
What was the primary cause of the failure of the other supercharged GTS engines?
As I understood it, it was due to higher compression?
I'm just wondering, and worrying, about how the engine will handle it...
It should be just as strong, or stronger than an s4.
But why did that *other* vendor have so many problems?
If all you need to do, is keep the boost reasonable,
and look at an air/fuel guage, and give it extra fuel, then why was *someone* unable
to get it working, and end up blowing off the ring lands?
It seems almost child's play now, for people to boost an s4 with no problems.
Even that previous vendor I mentioned, had boosted his own s4 without problems.
But he managed to kill at least on, or two, GTS engines under boost...
Just wondering if anyone knows why it might be more risky to boost a GTS,
and what our supercharging contingent thinks about the best ways to keep that
from happening again?

Yes this will be running a prototype Twinscrew system based on a modified Andy Keel system.
I know the lingo of whats going on better than what it means, although I am getting better.
I think the biggest concern after the 10.4:1 compression ratio is the forged pistions doing their job too well and not expanding as much as an 5.0L engine pistons. Andy has a pretty good solution for this which should be revealed at Sharktoberfest.
