Talking NEW Autorotor Supercharger [Keel system] for sale

I need to get a sales car and cover about 30k a year so the 928 and all parts must go. I know I'll get hate mail, but I bought a 2002 Corvette Z06 with an extended warranty...

I'll be listing the 87S4, as well as some parts, in about 10 days. I have a new [still in Andy's packaging] Autorotor 2.2 twin screw supercharger and Andy's large intercooler, etc. for sale. I paid around $4,400, would like to get $3,900[buyer pays actual shipping]. Strongly prefer check but could use paypal if buyer pays fees.

All items in perfect, new shape.

From Andy's website [www.928supermodel.com]

The 32V Twin-Screw system consists of:
· 928 SUPERMODELS Parts Groupo 01. $1705
This is everything needed to install and run the 2300AX that can’t be bought off the shelf and would have to fabricate. Included is a 356 T6 shot peened aluminum supercharger manifold, 6061 aluminum hard anodized belt tensioner/snout support, 6061 aluminum hard anodized crank and power steering pullies, throttle linkage, air inlet, crank case oil breather, intake plumbing, gaskets, and fasteners. You won’t have to fabricate anything. These and the intercoolers are the only parts I stock.
· 928 SUPERMODELS Air to Water Intercooler system. IC01, to 920 cfm $935.. This intercooler is integrated in the manifold and reside in the V of the engine. It uses a highly efficient bar and plate core and a heat exchanger designed for water/glycol (not an oil cooler).

The Autorotor 2.2 Supercharger can be seen at:
http://www.kennebell.net/index.htm

Additional parts needed [I dont have these]:
• 8 30# Ford Motor Sports fuel injectors $219.88
You may get these from www.summittracing.com (http://store.summitracing.com/produ...searchtype=ecat) for a set of 8. These are ok for up to about 8-10 psi. Above that you will need 36# or 42# injectors.
• Bell Engineering Group 2025 boost sensitive rising rate fuel pressure regulator $160.
Seller 16249 on e-bay has proven to be a good source of these with price starting at about $160. No Affiliation.
• Magnuson Products By-Pass Valve $60
Part No. 19-15-01-000 Link http://www.magnusonproducts.com/bypass.htm
• Boost Gauge $55
• Air Fuel Ratio Meter $100-$150
I use the Split Second ARM-1 http://www.splitsec.com/ www.928GT.com carries these too. (WBo2 sensors start at around $1500)
• 8-rib belt for Supercharger $25
• 4-rib belt for power steering $15
• K&N air filter $30
• Various small hoses $30
• Misc clamps, wire, etc… $100
• ‘87+ cars need the 85-86 throttle body and throttle switch $100-$150 from www.928international.com

I can take some pics if needed and send, let me know [can do tomorrow].

Thanks, Chad

Yes the hate mail will flow in ! somehow I just never thought of a Corvette as a 30,000 mi per year business sales car! Silly me ..... I thought sales cars held more than 2 people, luggage, samples, brief case, lap top ! If I were planning to spend 500 hours a year behind the wheel .........

Sorry to see you go over to the dark side Chad

I certainly understand though. I used to be in outside sales. I was lucky enough to get a company car or else I probably wouldn't have been able to have a 928 at all.

I just have to say that the price Chad is offering is one heck of a deal. It is a good bit less than he paid for it and that price was too low for me to be selling them at I realized later. In other words this is a good opportunity for someone to save quite a bit of money.

If you plan to install this yourself you should at least be able to do a good bit of work on your own car...and be willing to learn to do more. I know of shops in Fla and Ca that will install it for you.

I will support this system just as if it were purchased from me.

Also realize that you will still need to purchase the off the shelf parts to finish this system. probably about $1200 to $1400 worth of parts.

I am happy to answer any questions but please e-mail me @ andy@928supermodel.com as I think my PM box will fill up pretty quickly. I've seen 2 come over as I was typing this.

Sorry to see you sell that car. It looked pretty darned good when I saw it. If it wasn't an auto I might have been interested.

Good Luck

Chad,
What is the Vin# of your car? If it ends with last 4 digits lower than around 0660 then it will likely have the thicker 85-86 block, 951 rods and piston oil squirters. Which would make it one of the best, if not the best, candidates for boosting.
Some may ask why I say 85-85 block. The 87 that I passed to a friend recently had a vin # ending 0662. It had the correct engine #. It was apparent that the pedestals that the TB normally sits on in the V of the engine 85-86 cars had been cut off and ground flush. Meaning it was an 85-86 block.
This car also had the rare flip-up wing.
HTH,

Andy, VIN is: WP0JB0925HS861158. I'm in the process of typing out in Excel all the work done to the car since new. The PO's and I have kept very good records. I should have it for sale in about a week, need to get time to take pics, etc. Will also post the new [5 months old] 17' Fikse FM-10's with Kuhmo 712's [correct offset from 928 Performance] and the all leather dash [complete] and leather kit for the central console, A-pillars I bought from Rob Budd about 5 months ago. The dash and leather peices havn't even been unpacked from when Rob sent to me. I'll post pics and prices in a few days.

Holy crap, you are going to absolutely love that car; Porsche Twin-Turbo performance for less than half it's price, bone-stock!

What color and how many miles? How long have you had it, and what are your initial thoughts?

Out-of-the-box bang-for-the-buck performance, the Z06 has no peers. With that said, I think the Subaru Impreza WRX STi would come in second (..now that car is an ***-kicker too!) as off the showroom floor, it has all the right parts including Brembo brakes.

Just for kicks, did you know that the C6 Z06 due out next year will have a 7.0 liter, NA 500+ hp engine?? Also, it's fenders will be flared, and it will be a fast-back. Speculation right now is that it's going to cost $60k+.

Yeah, Heinrich is taking the SC but he's making me send it to Mr. Ott fo a Goodhousekeeping Seal of Approval 1st ;-) I'll send out the kit tomorrow when he sends me the address.

Lag-

The performance on the Z06 is scary. So much power thru the 1st 5 gears and good gas mileage on the 6th. For comparison I'd say the 928 is much more composed at high speeds and has a better interior. I laughed the first time 1 saw the vette's Delco radio. It takes up half the dash and only handles one CD [not even MP3]. But that's not what the car is for..For speed/handling below 120mph, the z06 has the edge.

Default say that again??

Are you saying the blocks are different on early '87 cars? What does filing down the timing belt tabs mean in terms of likely candidacy for aspiration?

No doubt the interior is much nicer in the 928, but I think the dash layout with the gauges is much better in the Z06. As you noted, engine-wise, there is no comparison at any speed.

For speed/handling below 120mph, the z06 has the edge.
I guess it depends upon one's personal preference here with respect to high-speed handling (..120mph and above). For example, if one prefers a 'heavier' feel (..for lack of a better term) at higher speeds, then no doubt the weapon of choice would be the 928 as it would feel more stable in a straight line. On the other hand, if one prefers a quicker response (..less 'composed' feel) for a given input under the same circumstances, then the nod goes to the Z06.

Both are great cars at speed for entirely different reasons.
