Default Unique 928 part sticker?

I have a sticker on my '85 Marble Grey 928's ashtray that warns not to depress the gas pedal upon start. it is bright yellow and has a 928 part number. Has anyone seen one of these?

Btw this car is factory fresh, unmolested, and the jack is stowed in the spare and there is enough foam rubber behind the tool tray that the jack would not fit.

are you sure there is not another jack hidden away inside that foam rubbe behind the tool tray?
you would not be the first to find one.....

Very sure. The foam rubber is one 2-inch-wide divider, that apparently holds the tools in-place, and it is right where the jack would have otherwise been.

AARGHH
I spent two years collecting a tool tray and all the tools that go in it. My car had nothing when I bought it, not even a jack. Now just when I thought I had it up to OE you tell me there should be a foam pad in there?

Gotta get one. Please post a picture.

On my two-owner 89 the jack won't fit behind the tool cover either. I believe there is a picture of the jack stowed in the spare tire in the 89 owner's manual. No such sticker on my 89 ashtray. I never depress the pedal anyway. Car starts everytime...except when the LH brain died on me.

My car has the foam pad and jack in the spare tire also. This leaves no place for the air compressor so I can't imagine it was supposed to be that way. What's up with this?

On early cars with K-jetronic injection there's place for jack in passanger footwell where there's computers in later L- and LH-jets.

The original compressor was tiny, and pretty much garbage.

mine is an 81 and the Jack is behind the tool tray, do you have a foto of the location in the passanger footwell?

Don't have photos. There's piece of carpet attached to wooden main fuse board cover. It has button on other end that attaches to carpet in front of passanger door. This makes sort of pocket on right side footwell under the dashboard tray.

Hah! I always wondered what the heck that was for! No jack in there when I bought it.

Interesting, could have sworn it's for the jack. Thought jack fits there nicely but not sure anymore as haven't seen that area on relatives car lately.
