Default SF Bay Area - Event

On May 30 (Sunday), the Diablo Region of the PCA will be hosting a "Wash 'N Shine" at the Danville Livery.

The event is open to all Porsches, but I would like to encourage all 928 owners in the area to attend the event and show their pride in driving a 928!

Two years ago, there was only 1 in attendance and last year, we made significant inroads in having 4 entered and several others on display.

Both Nicole and Richard took home some awards last year. Lets try to get some more Sharks out there this year!

For info see:

I plan to participate, even though it turns out I won't have as much time to prepare the car as I had hoped. We'll see...

Are you planning to enter, Robert? Who else is planning to come, and who is planning to enter?

Dennis: Are you going to support us again?

Beth and Rich: Are you going to come in tandem and compete angainst each other and the rest of us?

Bill: I assume you'll be there - no?

Richard said he was going to try and beat me this time.

Well, let's hope that '84 944 with 8k original miles won't show up again...

Sure Nicole, I'll be out there again this year. I wouldn't dream of entering, but I'll take pictures and generally cheer on the 928 family. We should get Seth to come out. I'd put his car up against any of those incredibly clean 356's.

I plan on going,...guess I'll have to spend every waking moment on Saturday cleaning my filty shark just to beat out Nicole
Of course, if I should lose again to her this year, I will blame it on the 80 mile drive just to get there By the way, I'll be taking the curvy route thru the Delta
Everyone up for lunch again this year?

But if Seth comes, none of us will have a chance... Just kidding!

Seth: If you read this: We NEED you to be there!!! I'll even be happy to take second place (again), if you show up. That would leave Richard with third again. Hmmm... Or Richard with second and me with third. Or that 8k mile 944 with first and then some of us. Who knows?

Well, it's all friendly competition, isn't it? I mean, I really don't hate Richard for making thrid place after me last year...

The main thing is to get together and show the world what a wonderful car the 928 is! And maybe we can have lunch together afterwards, as we did last year.

Maybe Bill can send a message to the Norcal928 email list?

I'm all for lunch (don't I look it...). I'll enter again (yes, with the bra still on), but I think my interior will shock those judges!

Seth, if you are out there... if you show up and enter, I'll buy you lunch!

Oh man, I don't know if we can make it. Last year the black car wasn't running, remember? So this year I could possibly have 2 cars to give you guys a run for your money. But we kinda have plans for Sunday. Come one, we just got back from our journey. We haven't been home in almost 2 weeks so this weekend is a break then the historics are the following weekend. I'll try to be there though, ok?

And YES, Seth should be there - his car is awesome.

Remember the 944 from last year that had the ORIGINAL tires? That was amazing.

Bump.

Guys, don't forget that "THE DAY" is coming to show off the beauty of your beast and win a plaque.

I will be there, but my car is going to be looking filthy rotten dirty... (just kidding!)

My shark is sitting this weekend out... I've pulled the seats, rear glovebox, and a few other doodads. The rear glove box cover needed to be re-glued a little... Everything has been thoroughly slimed with Leatherique rejuvenator oil, and is soaking in. Tomorrow, or Monday if it takes that long for the oil to soak in, I'll be re-dying the carpets. So, I'll definitely be having the wash & shine spirit, just in my driveway instead of in Danville.

I'll be there, maybe not right at start time. Not entering - interrior is half apart delaing with stereo and keyless entry. Lunch sounds like a good possibility.
