Default Who is your favourite 928 Mechanic?

...gotta admit, my daughter. She does all my "real work" on the car for the last while..GB did some of the HUGE jobs, but, the last few years including the engine out, HGs, bearings..etc..etc..down to oil changes, she does it. Gets her good face time for the local management, Indigo national Porsche ownership people (they need classics capable people)...so I get good attention, a "good deal" on labor in her "off time"..we all win.

We did a Germany trip for 10 days that we just got back from...she had some love from PCNA in lowering the cost of our Porsche Drive rental car for the trip, got about 2000km into it..I had to do all the driving, still too young...awwww

She has a co-worker that has a friend that works at a car rental operation at the 'Ring..was a blast. (She's much more current competition driver than I am, pulled a 9:42ish on her 2nd of 2 laps)..

And we got to wander around the shop at the Museum and chat with the staff for some time as well

Wrapped it all up with a Depeche Mode show in Frankfurt (whoah). Shown with Mark Woudsma..we met up with him, his wife (they live in norcal too), and her sister that lives in Germany for the concert.

And then quick trip to Amsterdam for a day, before flying home.

So...what have you done for your 928 mechanic lately?

That's so awesome that she chose this career path.

Considering I'm my own 928 mechanic, I do everything for mine, but it's more lonely. I do have an apprentice though

Nah, they were still prepping it to ship over to the US. It was on the rack a week before when we picked up our rental 992 from the museum.

Your daughter is an amazing woman, very impressive driving and wrenching, I'm very jealous!

She is definitely cool, I've known her for almost a decade now when she first got her 85 and had to pay it back working at McDonalds.

It is honestly great that she loves what she does. It'll take her far.

But since I cannot afford the Porsche rate, my favorite mechanic is the only one I can afford for 99% of the work. Myself

It looks like you have a great relationship with your daughter. That's wonderful.

The Dad Rate with a free loaner is pretty good.

My daughter came up to me one day and wanted to learn how to work on cars. She loves helping me with the 928. We got her an 86 MR2 to experiment on. We sorted that car out and we like to take them on road trips and go to car shows.

The 928 Buckeye Landsharks are my all-time favorite mechanics! Sure we don't know EVERYTHING, but we can figure it out and the rates are out of this world - Coffee & donuts and/or pizza & beer ( depending upon how long it takes to complete the job Bar None - The Best Damn Car Club on the Planet!
