Default Behind the passenger footwell carpet - US car

Greetings all,
The day grinds on and I am trying to put stuff back that was in the box of parts. Most of the non critical relays were removed by the PO and after putting them back, I am figuring out why :-( , but that's another conversation. I have been told that the wires I am holding are not used in the US model and are tucked somewhere in this area. Anywhere specific? I feel like I am missing something on the right of the footwell, but can't find anything in the box that's obvious... I figure out the lower wood panel. The other, larger wood panel has screw holes that line up with plastic hinges at the top, but those extra wires seem to be in the way. Is that a "swing up" cover? I believe I have the shelf that goes there...but not sure. I also have another piece - not sure where it goes...
Any constructive help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Karl

Unused on my car?? Where do they hide? They seem to be in the way of the big wood piece.

Not sure about the larger wood piece and whether there is a box or something that should be on the right of the footwell. It seems I only have one shelf in the box.....

Is this the shelf for the passenger side?

Unsure what this is.....

I am guessing that this is a S4+ car? The middle connector in your first picture is the coding plug, the male part attaches to the metal ECU chassis and the female connector plugs into that. It is functional as-is, mounting it to the ECH chassis simply cleans things up a bit.
The right-rand connector is the "CO pot", not used on US cars (and ROW which were equipped with CATs and oxygen sensors). Just tuck it out of the way.
The left connector I am not sure of.
The wooden floor-board hinges at the top and opens upwards.
The fat engine-harness which would be in the way splits, the LH branch goes up and over the EZK, and the other branch I think goes behind the CE panel and down for the EZK connector. I've got an unmolested '88 that I post pics of, if that helps.
The tray mounts above the pass-side toe-space, do that last-- it gets in the way.
The other panel covers the bottom cover of the instrument console.

Cheers, Jim

Your car looks like an 87/88 car based on the orientation of the plugs for the LH/EZK.

The dotted red line is the LH harness and routes above the LH box (red solid line). I find it easy to remove the LH/EZK case and then tuck the harness above as I remount the case.

The rest of the bundle (Green, purple, yellow, blue) routes down behind and then below the EZK/LH case. Again you will want to dismount the EZK/LH case so you can fit is behind the CE panel. I'd recommend putting some heat in there to help make the harness more flexible.

The coding plug Jim is referring to is identified below, I think the other one is for the bulb control module, that will need to be plugged in or else you dont have brakelights.

Here is where the coding plug goes on your car, the receptical that is mounted to the EZK/LH case has been removed in the photo above. You can re-install it in the location below when you remove the LH/EZK carrier case. See WSM Manual 1A for "coding plug" details.

The last plastic panel that you're unsure of appears to be the trim panel that goes below the gauge pod.

The bulb control module that the left.plug connects to is attached to the parcel shelf on my 84. Your shelf has those 2 holes on the right vertical edge and that's where my module is. Maybe they moved it in later years.
