SHARKS IN THE PARK IV - May 8th - Berkeley, CA
It's that time again. Spring has sprung, and SHARKS IN THE PARK IV is about to happen.
This is a free picnic and get together for 928 owners and their families throughout Northern CA and parts unknown. Yes, that means anyone that can get there with their 928 is welcome. We've had cars from Nevada, Utah, Oregon and Washington. So gasser up and get on the road.
Come on down for free food, lots of 928s and 928 families. We will have informal tech sessions on supercharging and intake modifications, free food (did I mention that?), lots of door prizes, peoples' choice awards, and the infamous 50 mile "funride."
Check link below for further details.
SHARKS IN THE PARK IV
Please RSVP to billb_msn@msn.com with body count for planning purposes. The more the merrier!
05/04 Update:
UPDATED FORECAST LOOKS GOOD
Apparently some of my email accounts are not working properly, as I am hearing back that some people sent RSVP emails that I didn't receive. Sorry about that. If you know anyone on this list, let me know if they are coming:
Duane Onamiya
Nathan Valles
Robert Orellana
David Pietras (heard he is coming though)
Bob Jones
Don Russo
Cliff Gaudet
Grayson Gold (bad email address)
David Rhodes
Eric Kurtoza
Darren Fletcher
Henry Rutland
Gary Silva
Jim Cranney
Jim Rygh
David King
Maurice Bales
Max Ho
Martin Mansmann
Junior Aguilar
Tim Weidman
Chris Smith
Chris Wilde
John Welch
Chris Fullerton
and Allan Mochwart

I will be there and I just MIGHT wash the car ahead of time!!!
Can't wait to hear the tech session on forced induction. I call dibs on any rides in any supercharged car!!!! (Hopefully calling it on the internet works).
Can't wait to see everyone and catch up.
Thanks for putting this together Bill,
Seth

You mean you might let water touch your car?! Horrors! It might damage the paint.
See you there,

Excellent. I see your collection is growing despite the mishap. See you on the 8th.

Yeah, I wish we could rope off parking. There may be some less devious way, but getting a good number of us there early would be best. It is likely there will be a wedding next door.

Bill,
You know, some of the other picnic areas in Tilden do allow you to rope off the parking. My sister hikes there fairly often and has seen some of the other people doing that.

I remember the nasty wedding guests. My car was one of the sacraficed vehicles towards the bottom of the hill holding as many spots as possible while ignoring the yells and nasty comments from the wedding guests - some very uptight people and not nice at all.

I just wish the wedding party people would park in space available closer to the building. I don't understand why some insist on parking way down the road instead. As long as they fill in the closer spots first, I have no problem with them parking near us if needed.
Maybe I'll dress up as a parking attendant and usher them to closer spots.
