Didn't it POUR last year?

You're gonna fix this, right Bill?

Sure. No problem.

Last year there was a weird bunch of stormy days during the week prior and it looked very ominous for Saturday. However, it was clear and pretty nice all the way through lunch. Right at the end of lunch it started to come down. It came down heavy for about an hour, then it completely cleared up and we went out to dry roads for the funride.

The forecast at this point does show some clouds and what is called a small chance of precipitation. I moved it out a week from the first Saturday in May to get further away from the more common April rains and to avoid a conflict with the Laguna Seca races.

Let's see how the forecast goes. The event is on, rain or shine. We had adequate pop-ups for protection last year. I don't plan on using them again, but they are available if needed.

Anybody got a bead on Alan Mochwart (79 928)? He's the supplier of our ribs for SITP. Last known to live in San Rafael and work at a restaurant in Napa. So far, he has not reponded to email. I'd sure like to find him ASAP.

Do you know what restaurant? Being that I'm in Napa, maybe I can help somehow.

Not sure where Allan works. We're going to miss his ribs. So far no reply back from him. In fact, a large number of people have not replied, even to repeat emails. Perhaps it is the email virus scares of late, but I have not heard from:

Duane Onamiya
Nathan Valles
David Pietras (heard he is coming though)
Bob Jones
Don Russo
Cliff Gaudet
Grayson Gold (bad email address)
David Rhodes
Eric Kurtoza
Darren Fletcher
Henry Rutland
Gary Silva
Jim Cranney
Jim Rygh
Maurice Bales
Max Ho
Martin Mansmann
Junior Aguilar
Tim Weidman
Chris Smith
Chris Wilde
John Welch
Chris Fullerton
and Allan Mochwart

I know it is the day before Mom's Day and there is a PCA Autocross, but I am a bit perplexed by the lack of replies. If you know any of the above, see if you can find out if they are coming.

Argh! Taking profit or cutting his losses? The car was not bad. I helped him fix a few things. All that remained was cosmetic work.

Too bad about Cobey... his car just needed some major buffing out and it would have looked fine.

It sounds like the place he left in San Rafael, but if it's Napa, then that is it.

He was in restaurant management there.

If he has left, maybe I could buy some ribs from them. They were great! I don't know how much Allan brought -- maybe 30-40 lbs. I'll pay for it.

Beth, if you can look into this, I would be grateful, and so would the rest of the attendees. The ribs have been a big hit for the last 3 years.

Both actually. Getting out ahead of the game as I saw it was going to be more than I could handle in the financial & complexity areas. A nice guy up in Seattle paid me well for it. I gave him info on Rennlist, and he may be lurking around here somewhere. (Hi Tom!)

The replacement is still good old German though.
