Default Oil Baffle Nut Removal Tool - Possible group buy.

I have a couple of tools designed and quoted to help remove and tighten the oil baffle nut.

I'd like to offer them as a group buy to cover my costs if there is any interest.

Version 1: Fits on the and of a 3/8" extension

Version 2: A tube based tool you can use with a large screw driver.

I have quotes to have a minimum quantity of 100 each made. They are $43.50 and $22.20 each, respectively. I'll cover the engineering and freight to my door.

Kevin

Almost positive I took a 7/8 socket 1/2 drive and cut the 4 prongs out with a fiber wheel.

Yeah, I whittled mine out of a socket, because I had no other choice.

However, if a $45 dollar dedicated tool had been available, I would have happily bought that.
....The socket I ruined, the carbide cutter I dulled, and my time have more value that that!

Good product, Kevin!

Garage sale socket fixtured to hold extremely well, coolant flood, decent HAAS VMC, and not a nick out of the 60 deg helix carbide (TiAlN). You must have has a lot of chatter. Guess it pays to have good equipment, and experience. But good idea Kevin, and kudos to you for thinking of everyone.

The breathers on the valve covers

Dont have a pic of the inside, but I do have one of the fitting

They are pretty tough to get off as remember, they are down in a little area of webbing and hard to reach.

Sorry to Kevin to keep sliding this sideways, but which size motor bike clutch tool? I see combination 20 & 24mm ID tools. What is the needed ID?

While not a machinist, I can make anything once (manual machines.)
The second one may not be exactly the same...but I'm not building parts for Space X.
However, if I only need a few, I bite the bullet and make them....
If I need 100, I send it out to a CNC guy. (Who doesn't want to do a "few" of anything.)

Being a business owner who makes over 100 928 products, I'm also painfully aware of the costs of stopping what I'm doing and making things.
And if you talk to your accountant (or the accountant where you work), I can guarantee that the Haas VMC, the tooling, and the maintenance costs more than $45 just to turn it on!
Not to even mention the cost of your time to create the program.
That's my point....
The "true" cost of doing something always needs to be considered.
"Big picture" stuff....

Default oil baffle nut

Think Chinese motor bike clutch tool $10 and a bit of work with Dremel is the best way how many bucks for Hazet tool and then still have to Dremel to make usable

I've used needle-nose pliers many times with no problems.
