Default "Late Brake Master Cylinders now available, from Porsche!

Like the title says, Porsche has just filled the "backorders" on the late Brake Master Cylinders.
We received 10 of these, yesterday.

The new retail is a mere $783.50.
Our price is $575.00 on these 10 pieces.

Figures. The early ones were $250 last I checked.

Leave it to Porsche to triple the price!

But at least they have them available again...

Remaking anything, today, is incredibly expensive...it's not just Porsche!

I'm paying 3X the price for stainless U bends to make my headers, compared to only 3 years ago!
And I'd be overjoyed to pay that, except they don't have any straight US made material to make the U-bends....I've had "holes" in my various size bends, for months!

Been to the store lately?
Tiny boxes of product, 2X the price from a year ago.

Like you say, I'm thrilled to "see" these master cylinders!

Now if we could get some oversize pistons and a few transmission parts, 928's can continue.

Without this stuff, the "end" is very near!

I really want those pistons or for Mahle Motorsports to get their act together and finally get the recipe from Mahle Germany on how to properly bond the ferrous coating to pistons...

It would make getting a set of 104mm pistons much more economical than what we can currently do, which is hope and pray for 2 sets out of a 968 or to add steel sleeves to our engines.

I just hope Porsche starts to take a page out of Mercedes classic's and make everything available at request... for a cost of course

These are big bore pistons only. Are you sure they are compatible with alusil bores?

Of course they have alusil blocks.
This is what John Gill said about his race engine:
Its more like 81 .3 mm stroke with the 104mm pistons (wossner ) the pistons are for the 994 motors at present no issue even starting weekly here in the middle of winter.

It is a pity that they have a minimum order of four pistons.
I'm thinking of motorcycle guys who only need one or maybe two pistons for their bike.
Since the mid 70's I have had Venolia Pistons as a supplier of custom made pistons. At that time, I worked with motorcycle customers, mostly high performance modifications.
Venolia could, if necessary, manufacture and deliver a single piston made according to my specifications / drawing.
Unfortunately, the company got a new owner who was not as customer-friendly as the old one and business declined, which eventually forced him to close the business.

Several high profile recent cases in the 944 Turbo community where Woessner pistons' coating fell off and ruined brand new built engines. The old coating worked for sure, the new one definitely doesn't ... We are talking pistons delivered 2019/20/21...

I'm completely convinced that absolutely no spray-on coating will ever survive the Alusil application.
Especially true with the inherent "side loads" imposed by an offset connecting rod (All 928's.)
....I've either personally tried every piston manufacturers/coating offered or have taken apart engine with every piston/coating.

There is certainly a large amount of dismay, on my part, that people keep attempting to do this.
"Tossing" 928 engines into the trash has got to be taking its' long term toll....
Certainly true with the GTS models!
