Another dozen trusses went up yesterday. We have some strong storms possible over the long weekend and today they are going to continue with sheathing the roof and bracing it for high winds. Fingers crossed that Tuesday brings fair weather so the crane can continue the instillation of trusses. Want this thing dried in asap!

Today was all about sheathing the trusses that are up and installed plus cabling them to the machines so they do not have issues with the predicted 40+ MPH winds. Good day!

Winds were stronger than expected and lasted an extra day... NO problem! Yeah! but we lost two more precious days of work in addition to the holiday!
Played catch up and 22 total people showed up to "Make it happen" yesterday. Hope for an equal number today.

The process was well organized and fascinating: 12 16 more trusses up in less than four hours: Then the process of sheathing and bracing again.
Thats a lot of frigging sticks!!!

I foresee a raffle for the first people to see this in person once completed. Say a pool of 928 tickets?

Just finished writing a big check for the weeks work. Going to deliver it and get some more pictures. The contractor informed me they were doing a sprint to finish the trusses today.
You guys know the drill... "Pictures - - - Or, it didn't happen"...

Wow. Once you have a roof - it's a whole different feel. Are you in MI? That bridge is a long way North...

That way I can re-coup some of the costs of this thing!
Actually it is not that bad. My contractor is staying within budget and I'm super happy with how things are going. L umber fell in price as we thought it would and the engineering delay has played in our favor both quality and cost wise... All good so far!
Except that at 1:45 the crane for the trusses had not shown up.
