Default Factory sound pad material in trunk?

Has anyone found a replacement product for the tar-like pad the factory stuck to the trunk floor over the gas tank? looking for a product that will form to the ribs and can be painted, like the orginal.

Any of the Dynamate like products will form to the ribs of the floor and because they are aluminum backed, I'm sure with a light scuffing and primer they could be painted.

Droo - try Flex Seal paint or tape to mimic the original stuff. Apply evenly if the paint on. It will dry to a rubbery texture and conform to the ribs. Put it on thick.

I used Dynamat. Didn't paint it. Left it silver.

Depends on what the desired finish look is. The silver stuff does not look factory. The rubbery stuff I suggested will, especially if you paint it as per the original material in the car's color.

I used a Dynamat-like product from Eastwood in the rear trunk and the interior. You stick it down then roll it with a hard wooden roller to get it to follow the contours.

Pretty sure that Andrew could have gone out and bought some dynamat and be done with it, that's not what he's looking for. He's looking for butyl (or asphalt-based) rubber sheet, 1/16" thick. The dynamat is certainly functionally the right stuff, but not the foil.

I'll put words in his mouth and say this is what he's looking for:

Would this 3M Sound Deadening Pad product work for you?

Yeah, I agree, Andrew is likely looking for something that is very close to stock look. The Flex Seal I posted about above may be the way to get this look if the material you posted Rob can't be found.

Very random, but on 2 separately ordered engine bay cowl covers I ordered years ago, both came with a very similar pad partially stuck to them (foil on top of the woven layered material). I'll see if I can figure out where the pads ended up and take a pic of one.

edit: Ah, you didn't mean the foil covered square directly over the round plastic cover?

You know me too well Rob. Thank you to everyone for their suggestions, I love the dynamat products and have used them for years but I am looking for the original look here. Starting to reassemble the Brumos 928 from the repaint and want to get the details right. I'm going to try this product, looks promising:
