Hmmmm...that looks like a Euro. Its going to be either the M28.09 engine if its a 5spd manual transmission, or the M28.10 engine if its a 3spd automatic transmission. Both engines are 240hp, with the CIS mechanical fuel injection.
Look at the front left top side of the engine, to the left of the water pump, for a flat pad. It will have numbers stamped into it. You are looking for M28.09 or M28.10. If something different is there, then further investigation will be needed.
Now, WELCOME!!!
Be prepared to spend money, especially on a Euro with the CIS injection.
Worth it, though. The Porsche 928 is an AWESOME driver's car!
If you haven't, read through all 5 pages of this thread. It contains most of what you will need to know about ownership, care, and feeding of a 928:

Good Luck!

That could be a Euro S 4.7l 300hp. Post what you find the engine code to be please. VIN would also help identify it . Looks great from here. Those BBS wheels with different front and rear offsets are rare, super light and well made FYI

I'm going to guess that it's a Euro S, with the 300hp M28/11 or 12 (odds are manual trans, evens are auto) 4.7l.
It has the "S" spoilers, and while those could have been added on, the effort it took to get a 'grey market' import through the federalization process meant most of the ones brought in were the more desirable "S" rather than the 'just a 928'. That would have the 4.5l M28/09 - 10.
Welcome. As was suggested above, read the "New Visitor" sticky thread. Lots & lots of really good info.
You can post your VIN in the 'Official VIN Check' sticky thread and find out what options it came with (and what motor it's supposed to have).

Thanks for all the help I will find the numbers and post . I do have to say the car runs great and so far everything works .I can say one thing it is very hard to read the German writing on all the gauges. All I had to do is drain all the gas and put new gas and battery and she stayed running after about the 4th try of cranking
