Default 2004 928 Owners Club Convention - July 9-11, Wichita, KS

http://www.928oc.org/pdf/OCIC_2004_Press_Release.pdf

I think this deserves to be put back onto the list of topics again.
Perhaps it could be topped for a while so it can provide a source of conversation for organizing caravans to and from the event from different regions???

Sure.

Topped for a couple weeks - we can re-top as we get closer to the date.

Can I hear a hartey "Hell Yah" From the Texas faction!!!!

I'm thinking Houston, Austin and DFW 928er's meeting in Big D on I-35 to head em up and move em out at subsonic speeds!

Hey Don, you and the Houston boys in? We may loose a few to the Porsche "Parade" that week in Ft. Worth but I think most of us in DFW would rather hit the owners convention. 2000 was an absolute blast and
Mark White knows how to throw a Damn Good Party.

We're in BAAABBBYYYY!!!!!!!

It does sound like a blast. I've got to pin down those summer vacation plans. I'd love to go, but just not sure yet.

I'll send out a link to this thread to my email list and we'll see what happens.

My plan is to do the 1208.03 mile I-15 and I40 route from Vegas. And meet up with whomever along the way. The imfamous Walt K perhaps? Hmmm? Denver group?

I could go south as well (1277.1 miles) across AZ and meet up with SOCAL and AZ,NM and then TX folk?

Either way Im either off work or am sick that weekend

Hey Philip!

Sure does. It will be a long trip but I plan on going. Ive even half tossed the idea of driving to SITM in June and then leaving the car at a friends house in Nashville, then driving back to Vegas in July VIA Witchita. ..BUT..
With the wife off work and kids at home for the summer, it makes it a bit tougher to get away though. As usual, flying is quick and convenient (price is right too ) and gets me back quicker. Driving to SITM is a long shot at this point but Witchita is a GO for sure..

Yeah, Jim, that would a be a lot of seat time but I have done NYC-Orlando Nonstop...Orlando-vegas(NonStop/4hr power nap in Nth of Dallas) and ....Houston -Vegas (2 leisurely days with a hotel in El Paso)! I sit on my a$$ in an airplane or i sit on it in a car, either way after a while I get in a groove and the hours and miles fly by. They do for me at least. Besides ,seems the guys out east dont belive i have a car I show up with a rental all the time or hitch a ride.

Anyway, Philip, Ill gets some info together and send out an email to the local Vegas folk, atleast making them aware of the event.

FYI Phil, April 17th-18th is the Local PCA event here in Vegas where you get to park your car under FREMONT Street, Ill send an email next week on that. Check the las vegas region PCA event calendar. YOU DONT HAVE TO BE PCA!

We actually pay PCA dues, we just never attend the events. Many of the local members rubbed me the wrong way so eh. Though I was planning on bringing at least one car to freemont, assuming I cannot get my father or a friend to drive another.

Regardless send me a heads up on whatever things you have in mind and I will talk to you later.

The AZ group will probably take I40 eastward and then go north from Tulsa. I'm thinking to take my "new" '87 S4 and let the GTS.

LA, San Diego group, how about meeting in Phoenix?

Some of us from California may join the AZ caravan. I'm game.
