EDIT - Nevermind, I see it's an auto.

One brake duct, I'll check what side.

Glad to hear everyone's ok. Except maybe his pride, that will grow back.

Beth,

The important thing is that he is alright (man, that does not sound right) and that you still have your S4.

I need to think about my morals...

Sorry to hear about your loss, the shark I mean. I assume the boyfriend is going too, probably not worth parting out though.

What kind of seats do you have and how is the condition?

The car is a goner but the boyfriend is most definately a keeper!

Front seats suck! Rear's are not torn and are in perfect condition, just faded and ugly.

One doesn't realise how sad until one starts tearing parts off the car. I pulled a slightly damaged fender .,. but had to kill it to get it off because of lights not popping. Man it sucks.

I feel your pain. BTDT.

A guy locally is selling his '79 928 track car sans blown engine. If that's where you were going with the '83, then his car could be a shortcut to that goal. Looks like you have a spare motor now. Let me know.

Sorry Beth, it was a lame attempt at humour. I'm sure he is a great guy.

Would be interested in the drivers seat anyway for switches and frame components.

.......... And it could have been in the grapes, undamaged - leaving you as (a forced) owner, and proprietor of the newest Napa Chateau, Ms. Beth Merlot, known to friends as Cabernet Beth....

Glad to hear that personal injury was limited to ego, and that of the two - the 'right' car was involved.

Beth,

I am begining to think those of us who have lost their 928's due to accident, act of God, or act of boyfriend should have our own Web Site or posting site on the rennlist. It seems our numbers are growing.

Sorry for the loss.

Too bad.

This is why my wife won't let me drive her Boxster and I don't let her drive my 928 or 914.

She lets me wax the Boxster, but I don't get to touch the steering wheel.

are the wine grape plants really valuable or something? Because when we lived in Cali. we bought some grape plants on a whim... and they died... but it was no big loss. Something special about em?

those are all commercial vineyards so you know someone would be mighty ticked off if we destroyed a good portion of this years crop. I'm not a grape expert, but I know there's $$$ out there.
