S4 front passenger sunroof drain

It's possible that the drain line has come off the spigot at the top, is still pinched, or as you say, may have a hole. The hose only has to be pinched and it may still pass a limited amount of water, but be unable to handle downpours, or car washes.
You can and should double check for a kink, but all is not lost if you have a problem at the top, as you can still get to the hose with some difficulty by gently pulling the headliner down, after releasing it at the upper door trim and A pillar.
I'll get back to this post with a photo ... which I just can't find at the moment.

Awesome thanks! I know where the hole is...I have to pull the tube up a little....I'm sure it'll be easier to get at if the A pillar is removed or at least released at the top.

I can't find a photo I took, but it showed that you can see the spigot if you remove the A pillar cover, remove the door trim retaining the headliner, and then gently pry down the headliner ... which will allow you to see and get at the top of the hose/spigot, which is not all that far from the edge.
It's also worth reading through the rest of this thread, as there are other suggestions and photos, which should be helpful for anyone with this issue. The problem with mine was that was the hose was kinked just before it came out through the body wall grommet into the wheel well, which allowed a small amount of water through, but eventually silted up and totally blocked. It was obvious that this problem had been in existence from new.

Good news: The front sunroof drains seem to function as designed while slowly pouring water into them. I am able to feed string trimmer line through the rear hatch drains with no resistance.
Bad news: the headliner still weeps during heavy rains
Unless there are other suggestions, my guess is that a partial blockage still exists which prevents adequate drainage during heavy rain or in a carwash. Another poster apparently had success using a trumpet brush to ream out the tubes; I may try that. Perhaps I may even learn to play the trumpet

What happens when you pour water fast enough to create an interior drip? Nobody ever goes that far..and locates it.
On mine, I have a seep below the sunroof shuttle rail. I need to re-goop it.
If you "ream" them out, you could push them off the drains..then as noted before you would have real problems.

Start with the smaller brush and see if that does the job.

Again..really really not recommended.
Read up on headliner removal if you consider this. You wont like that.

......We use compressed shop air at 150psi to clean/unplug the ones I get into our shop.
On badly plugged ones, we allow water to soak in them for a day or so.

Un plugged/ un flattened mine today on the passenger side it was smashed by the bottle. must have drained some over the years, because it just started overflowing last week. Here is a picture of the drain after removing the plastic bottle. Somehow I don't believe that one could put 150psi to the hose without blowing it up or off the nipple.

Well, 150psi is what regulated at the source, without a blockage you wont get that 150psi delivered....semantics.
