Glad to hear you are ok! The entire world cannot believe that this is happening and we couldn't be more proud of the courageous Ukrainian people. Odessa is a beautiful place and it breaks my heart to think what is happening to it. I am originally from Hungary and we were under Soviet rule for a long time also, so I can sympathize, but cannot imagine what you are going through. The sanctions will cripple Russia and get its citizens to rise up. I just hope Ukraine isn't blown to pieces and left with only women and children by then. Slava Ukraini!
The silence is deafening as we wait for news on our 928 friends in Ukraine. From what I have seen on the news, they have stepped up and fought their hardest for their country.
All we can do here is wait and wish we could do more or even something besides fund our chosen aid organizations.
I continue to keep them in my thoughts and charity efforts...
The Ukrainians beat the hell out of the Russians. Some 26,350 Russian soldiers have so far been killed during the war in Ukraine, the Ukrainian military said on Wednesday. Ukrainian forces have destroyed 199 Russian aircraft, 160 helicopters, 390 unmanned aerial vehicles, 1,187 tanks, 2,856 armored vehicles, and 528 artillery systems, according to the Ukrainian General Staff’s latest update. Russia has also lost 185 multiple rocket launcher systems, 1,997 vehicles and fuel tanks, 87 anti-aircraft systems, 94 cruise missiles, and 12 boats.
The Ukrainians are very optimistic and it is believed that they will successfully throw out the Russians before the end of the year.

Wishing the best for folks in Ukraine and for Serg and his family. I don't think you can overstate what the Ukrainian people have accomplished and how they have risen in the view of the world, but only they will ever really know the cost. They also know, better than most and as well as anybody, the cost of living under a Russian tyrant.
Hey all I just wanted to give an update on behalf of Sergey. I heard from him via social media last night. He let me know he and his family are ok. He said when the war started, the first day there were 3 missiles hit military objects within 1KM from his house, so he decided to move to another country. It was a brief response but it's good to know he is safe. No mention of the projects but he has been following and commenting my 928 project on instagram, so clearly he is still interested in 928s or just incredibly board.

In watching the TV News Spokesmodels we are led to believe that the Russians are being driven from some of the territories that they took. Do we know if Sergey or his family are safe or preparing to return home? Is "home" still there?
In short, is there any way we can help? A go fund me effort? Hardships like this are hard to imagine or to live through... U.S. Dollars are strong currency right now, and a little from many can go a long way for someone caught in a war torn nation...

It was lucky Sergey moved to another country. The Russians do not value life the way we do in the West.
Russian warfare is extremely brutal. They steal, rob, torture, kill, rape in similar ways that we recognize from WWII.

I work for a company that owns a subsidiary in the Ukraine. I asked my colleague about the best way to help her country. She said the military is always short on supplies. She gave me the following link from their national bank:

My family and my parents leave our state in first day of war, because we knew, that Russians will kill all Ukraine patriots and everybody who help army such as volunteer, in case of occupation. We knew because I support army since 2014 and know everything about this conflict, started with foreign separatists, came outside from Ukraine to Donetsk Harkiv and Odesa to start the pro-russia demonstrations for russia tv . They did this scenario in Crimea and Donbas only. Other cities win that fight back in 2014...I work 20 years with government people, including president administration in 2013, I made main Christmas tree in Ukraine for 6 years, I work in Crimea and lost a lot of money when it was occupied, I saw everything inside the system back in 2013-2014 and close company in Moscow after everything happened...
I lost projects worth 3 million euros, lost money in the occupied territories for the second time in 10 years, I went into huge losses because I pay salaries and support the company without any sales and most likely there will be no orders this year. My biggest project this year was to be in Mariupol, which was completely destroyed by the Russians. I decorated this city for 5 years and put a Christmas tree there 2 years ago near Dram theatre, which now is world famous tragedy of this city, and you must understand that the Mariupol chief wanted Christmas tree like in Manhattan...
My family could not stay in Europe for more than a few months, my wife's health deteriorated greatly due to all this, and she returned home to Odessa with our daughter in July. Then there was a rocket in a 9-floor building in our state, and more than 20 people died, and they went to Greece for a month and a half, but after my wife back home again, because its more safe now. I live in 1 km from Chernomorsk sea port, its second biggest port in Odesa region, where grain loads on the vessels under grain corridor agreement with guaranties from Turkey and UN. I was born in this city and live here for 40 years.
Another word will tell you about porsche community....I am in the web since 1996 and was familiar to first porsche club people in moscow in 1997-1999 so I was in shock because very famous porsche collector banned me because in first day of war I call to all of them to tell to stop this war. After we flood the Russian warship cruiser MOSCOW by our marines, I did a lot of posts in Instagram, because all people from Odessa tired to see every day in the sea this ****ing Russian warships, every few days they terrorized 1 million people city with shelling the city, and with the threat of military landing to capture the city. So for us this flooding was the national holiday and after my joking posts about second army in the world some porsche drivers write me that they will come soon and wished me to dig tranches... (one my company worker died, he was on the patrol boat which distracted Moscow warship). You can imagine, that few days ago I still receive message in instagram from russians, which ask me where my Porsches parked, because they will come soon to test drive them....And they write me this after 7 month of war and our army success...Some of them are ****ing idiots.....They are still under their propaganda..
In general, we lived very well, the last 5 years there was active development, my business grew by 20-40% per year, but the Russians freed us from this good life .... Now I am studying the market in Europe and I am thinking of restoring classic Porsches, because that my main business has collapsed, and Porsche has been a hobby all my life, and I have collected the second largest collection in Ukraine - I have 7 different classic Porsches that I restore. Now I'm thinking of making a business out of it.
All of the free-world people support Ukraine against that barbarian war against the people of Ukraine. I have been to Kiev back in 2019 and I found it to be the most beautiful city I have ever been to, so calm and serene and very friendly people all over the place. stay strong.
