Default 928 GT and GTS projects in Ukraine

Hello to all Porsche community. Few days ago bought 2 x 928 projects. One of them you can see in the web.

Green RAPTOR was build 20 years ago. It was a 1981 year car and owner made body kit and interior. After that he bought 928 S4 donor car and change to 5.0 engine, suspension, brakes and later he change automatic transmission to manual from 928GT version.

Second one was 1995 GTS crashed in Germany in 2000. The car has original 114K km and service book until 95K km. Since 2001 its in Ukraine, was not driven, and for 20 years he didn't finish this project and pass away....

I bought this cars from his family and have a lot of work to do. GTS have to be done back to its original condition in IRIS BLUE color and classic grey interior.

Raptor will be painted, with another interior and wheels. Also have idea to made STROSEK head lights in fenders and change back original fog lamps in bumper.

Original history from early 2000 you can read here:

Glory to Ukraine! Glory to heroes! Really just moved away from everything that happened. But I still wake up 2-3 times a night from nightmares and read the news. A week ago, I read your messages, cry and can't realize how much support me, my family, and my nation have. I felt that the whole world was more my brother than those Russian brothers about whom they wrote to us in propaganda textbooks in the USSR school, which I was before 1991 year when USSR was broken. On February 24, I woke up at 5 in the morning at home in Odessa, in my favorite resort city on the Black Sea coast, from a bomb explosion and a shot from an anti-aircraft defense system a kilometer from my house. My windows overlook the sea, from which the rocket came. I will remember these feelings for the rest of my life and I don’t know if I will ever forget. Panic for your family. I lived to be 40 years old and had no idea that rockets could fly into my city. But I'm not a military man, I'm a businessman, so on the first day I decided to leave and work and help remotely. Over the past week we have bought a lot of equipment for the army and we already have good results)) Unfortunately, I left my whole life in the country, my 8 Porsches, factory, my house. But I am sure that the Hitler of the 21st century will fall and I will return home, sooner or later. Many guys from the Porsche club picked up machine guns and went to defend their city. In addition to the army, we have the police, territorial defense, special units, and so on. According to the law, in the early days everyone was given weapons for protection. Society has strongly united around our president, he is our Hero, who accepted the challenge from the main dictator of the 21st century. Since 2014, I have been watching Russian news, which whipped up horror with their propaganda, and until the last I could not believe that he would go for such a scenario, because I considered him very smart. And now it turned out that he does not use the Internet and a smartphone, but reads reports in folders and gives him only the information that he wants to hear. And so he made a big mistake, because he definitely does not understand how the world works today, and what kind of country Ukraine is

Also have few questions:

- front GTS fenders are the same as S4? Part number is the same but all time I thought that GTS looks more wide in front, then S4

- we have ATR sign on the engine number before M28. What is it?

- we have a service book and first owner is the PORSCHE stamp. What is it? The same on my 996 turbo. Is it really company cars? Or it was a stamp on all cars, sold from Porsche that time?

Not necessarily to my taste, but having done my fair share of fiberglass and composite body work over the years, I certainly respect the incredible time, talent and vision.

Besitzer des Fahrzeuges = Vehicle Owner
The first owner is of course the manufacturer, Porsche AG.
The second owner is the company

Very cool cars with unique history. That GTS body kit is wild. Definitely hang on to that if your plan is to restore the original body.

Could-you, please, post a picture of the build sticker, under the carpet of the trunk and over the fuel tank, and also of the engine number?

An ATR engine is a replacement engine that was delivered without serial number, and the serial number was then stamped by the dealership.

The last GTS's were produced during the end of the 1995 year,

This engine is from an automatic 1991 S4 but the chassis number is from a 1989 928.

With the build sticker of the GTS, I should be able to describe your GTS, and find its origin.

Thanks.

The build sticker under the carpet is a bit different and I'm interested by the small characters on the top.

ATR should indicate an "Austauschmotor" or exchange engine. R means that this engine was rebuilt by the factory R for "Revision".

I like the green one (except for the color) - I think its a really good job. The white/grey one looks very heavy (bulky) at the back from the side view, (would be good to see it with the distinction between the body & windows better defined). I realize it is really super wide though and that rear view is very interesting and well done (though the bottom as yet unfinished). I really don't like the front as it stands - more was to be done I suppose... but I'm not sure of that direction - looks far fussier than the broad lines elsewhere.

You sure have 2 very interesting projects - and its only what you think that matters to the direction you take them in...

Doing both at the same time is a big commitment though.

Alan
