Default Hello to all Porsche fans from Ukraine

My name is Sergey, I'am here for a long time, since I had 924 15 years ago.

Now I have 6 different porsche projects.

Last 3 years I drive a lot of days for my 996Turbo, which I bought on my 30 birthday. Its an original Turbo from Germany, which was in my country in Odessa city since new in one hand. In 2002 I was a student and this car of the casino owner on the casino parking were something like UFO. It was one of the most exclusive and expensive cars in my city. Also there was no Porsche official center in Ukraine until 2004 and in Odessa until 2008, so first owner made all maintenance in the Turkey, and he deliver the car to Istanbul by ferry. I bought the car with original 42000 km at 2012, and now I have 72000 at 2015. This year I decide to stay this car in the family for a long time, because 996TT will be a classic porsche soon. But I decide to made some mod's for fun and to have new emotions, because its a little bit boring to drive it stock after 3 years ownership.

So, I want this mod's and maybe somebody can help me to find used parts:

1) GT2 front bumper. I don't drive this car very fast, maximum 150-180 km/h because I have only one new road in my city, 5 km long The rest is daily drive with short accelerations 0-130. So I don't need expensive GT2 original parts. As I understand, the best way is Precision.

2) Rear GT2 decklid. I read forum and somebody say that Misha911 is the best solution, but what is the difference between Misha and the same Precision? The last one is cheaper also.

This 2 parts were sold last week on the forum for a good price

3) I want RUF 19 wheels. I can bought it new from Ruf in Germany for a 3000Euro, but maybe find it here.

4) I want good sound and not very expensive exhaust system. Read a lot of Speedtech good sound, but there is also a lot of good companies such as Kline, BBI, Fabspeed and the rest. I try to understand what is the best sound/price and read a lot in the forum. But its very hard to buy the exhaust through the youtube So, maybe somebody sell his exhaust. Because there is no 996TT mufflers on parts forum for this model since new year!

5) I want to wrap the car by ARLON riviera blue film to have some new emotions.

So this is my wish list for this season.

Please check my few pictures of original 996TT.

Regards

Sergey

Privet Sergey,

As others have said, your car looks great as is...why even bother with GT2 bumper and decklid?

I recently bought a Kline exhaust and I'm happy with the fitment, finish, performance, and sound. Definitely louder than stock when I'm on the throttle but much louder at idle.

Best Regards,

Sergei ,,
Your car looks stunning as is!
I rode a Harley Davidson through your country ,, coming out of Russia, Via Rostov, Melitopol and Odessa out to Moldova and Rumania, on the way to Italy. Love your county and people.

Great to see you here! One comnent, I drilled my stock exhaust to increase the sound, it is nice and not too crazy. I do not prefer the X pipe systems. Way too loud with a higher frequency and not a good sound from inside the car.

Your car looks great. You need to go find some twisty road and really enjoy the car. I’m sure that would put a big smile on your face! :-)

I think the difference with GT2 wings is that Misha’s is adjustable like the factory GT2 wing. It has similar hinges to adjust the wing angle. So, both are good quality. Go Precision Porsche bumper.

I have the Speedtech 3.0 X-cellerator exhaust. For the money it’s great and love the sound!. I will probably be selling it some time soon, but not sure exactly when. I have a clutch job coming up and will be doing some performance mods.

I’m not sure what your budget is but you should take a look at Marski’s exhaust @ 911tuning. Heard good things about it. My friend just picked one up for his Turbo.

The wrap would look awesome. Your car is fine the way it is if you do all the other mods, but man I do love this color! This car has the looks!!

Keep us posted with your progress!!
