For Real or is it April Fools Day??
It's official: Porsche brings back the 928!
Wonder if I can get one in Raspberry red ?

Our 928 bodies are actually prettier than this.
$200k is also a lot of coin to get the same numbers we already have on the back of ours and your going to have to deal with all the new car tech crap - auto stop/start, a bunch of black boxes only the dealers can replace and not repair, and in the new cars you have to be going ridiculous speeds to have any sensation of driving.
Interesting if they were to actually do it, but I'll keep my cash and the one I have instead of buying a 2 door Panamera.

Do you think someone said that 40 yrs ago?
I imagine whoever came up with this idea didn't have enough time to do a lot of 928 features other than the roof and the Pasha int, so they probably cut / pasted the 911 tail lights to speed things along. When they do come out with the new 928, I'm sure there will be an homage to the past rear end.

With the 5 Porsches I own, I've honestly probably bought my last newest one already and don't have any desire to own one newer than my 2009 Cayenne Turbo S so hope current owners keep their 928s, 997s, and 993s parked in the garage for my future purchases.

About a year ago my wife and I went into the Porsche dealership to look at the new Cayenne... It was time to configure a new Turbo S to replace the 2016 Turbo S which I was going to start to use. We spent over an hour trying to figure out the touch screen and its menus. Then took it out for a drive and tried to use it while driving. End of looking at the new Cayenne. We live in an area with curvy, bumpy roads everywhere and there is no way that I can effectively use the screen while driving. So I just upgraded my 06 Cayenne to an 09 Turbo and we decided to drive those for the foreseeable future.
That does not mean that I would not consider a Porsche super coupe that was an evolution of the 928... especially with Pasha!
But--- it would have to be configured with reasonably user friendly controls... and something around 700 hp...

The PCA online newsletter spotlights this article, front page but below the fold, again pointing out that is is in fact an elegant factory-sponsored April-fools teaser. Thought: What better way to test the waters for a 2-door without actually committing to build one? New lump of clay being delivered to the design studio soon?
