Default Interest in A-Pillar full replacement gauge cluster?

I thought I saw a thread or two a couple years ago where Rennlist members were trying to get up 100 or so interested parties to order a 2-gauge pod A-Pillar full replacement cluster. But now I cannot find it.

Can anyone tell me if that deal ever went thru?

We currently offer a tack-on 2-gauge pod for the 928 A-Pillar, but we are looking into having a full-replacement A-Pillar madewith 2 gauge pods in it if interest is high enough.

What do you guys think? Would it sell? Minimum ordewr is about 100 units. Black only.

Carl,

Any thought to more than 2 holes? If I went to the A-Pillar, I would want to do 3 or 4 gauges up there.

Just curious, have no idea what the 928 market thinks on this one.

anyone thought about doing a new pod out of fiberglass that would hold more than the standard guage set? Maybe something I should work on for SITM this year.

Default 3000GT dual pods are the closest

This is what I use, worked great. Had it covered in leather: houses my boost gauge and air/fuel gauge. :0

You can buy those pods manufactured by AutoMeter just about anywhere for under $30. Very slight trimming required.

Default LHD pods only...

Autometer from what I know only makes pods for LHD cars...but I've not researched it.

BTW, love your theory on kids.

I really think people would like a new pod out of fiberglass/carbon fiber.

So many cracked pods out there...

I think the stock shape would sell best.
But when you make the mold, just do a second mold, with 3-4 extra guages mounted on top, in recessed holes, but blended into the top of the pod. Then cast one more mold from that custom one...

Then you can pop out copies in fiberglass or ABS...
