C8 production is delayed due to UAW strike. A LOT of Corvette people are mega-pissed. I'm del a 85 928 and maybe looking at a new plane.

Have fun at the factory/museum Doc.

Go, doc, go! See you soon and be safe. Looks like there might be a little rain system moving this way.

It was a pleasure to meet you, doc. Thanks again!

So.. Did you end up heading back on your way to DFW with an empty trailer? Or are you loaded?

Interesting trip. I picked up a pair of heads for 3rd coast. Then, looked at a plane, but it was a mess so no deal there. I was going to pickup an old tractor, but it sold a few hours before I got there. So, went home empty. Still had a good trip, and visited my sis for a bit.

Developed an interesting problem with my truck on the way back. The transfer case started jumping the chain on the gears inside. I could hear it 'chunk!'. I found a small shop and me and the guy took the front prop shaft off, then drained a few oz of fluid from the transfer case. It's obvious it was leaking slowly for a while. We filled it with 85-140 and off I went. Worked fine, but now I need a new transfer case for the truck.

Man, you move QUICK! Sorry for any inconveniences along your way. I took the belt off the PS pump, charged the battery, ran up the road to the fuel station since I had no idea about gauge function. Pleasantly surprised with the '85's driveability as-is and the lifter noise silenced. No change of plans for therapies though. Front to back, top to bottom.. Pretty satisfied with it as a 'starting point'. You and Zoo were both great to deal with.

Doc,

I'm the S3 heads mystery buyer. Thank you very much for picking them up! I am hoping I don't need them, but I want them ready in case I do.

I will touch base with Laura/Roger on Monday about them and I still have that thank you item if you want it.

Thanks, again,

Carlos

Heya Carlos. Get with Mike and Laura for the heads. Happy to help out. If you feel the need, give Mike a case of beer and we're all good. Enjoy 3rd coast, wish I could be there, but other plans.

Austin, glad it's what you wanted. Seems like a good starter car from my view. Always glad to see an S3 manual saved. Make it nice!

Carlos,
I have the cylinder heads safe and sound in my garage and will load them up and bring them to 3rd coast no problem.
Look for the RV trailer and Race Red F150.
See the rest of you guys/gals in a couple of weeks!!

Mike,

Thank you! I will look for your rig next week, and touch base with you as it gets closer.

Carlos
