When I look at any classic car to buy, if it doesn't have the original radio then I don't care if the aftermarket one works or not. If the original one does then I consider it a bonus because I usually expect that they will not. In general I would imagine that most buyers do not put a lot of value into a working systems since non-working ones are generally easy/cheap to fix/upgrade.

In terms of A/C, I'd much rather had an "honest" sale, where the owner says the A/C doesn't work, than to have the "local A/C hack" stuff a couple of pounds of freon into the system (almost always some idiot stuffing in R134a into an R12 system, these days), just to make it cold for a few days.

And if I see the system has R134a low pressure and high pressure valves, I want to see the repair order where the system was disassembled, cleaned out, had the O-rings all replaced, and was done correctly. (This takes a whole day to do properly, if the car has rear A/C.)

......It's so much easier (and cheaper) for us to fix the A/C before some "hack" makes it 3X as difficult!
