Rob Edwards is nearby in Irvine, and has a Sharktuner. Perhaps if the controllers were brought there and the .bin files supplied with a set of the correct proms, he could load them for you.

I wouldn't load unknown files into a car of unknown maintenance into a random car with my ST.

I could do it but I don't have a 12 pin cable for connecting an ST2 to an '88. If the owner wants to get a cable from John Speake I can do it.

Although, just like Jeff, I'm mystified about what is happening here, I have the cable you need, Rob.

However, we might be getting a bit ahead of ourselves....

Does the OP have PEMS or does he need a new chips to be burned?

If the car has PEMs in it already and the maps in them work well enough to drive to me, then we can put whatever maps in, and if they suck, we just swap back to the originals.

I'll stop by Greg's and grab the cable, have the owner contact me by PM.
