Default New Style Custom Interior Floor Coverings

I've been looking for a vendor that has these or similar type interior mats for the 928, however all that I have contacted do not have a template for our car.

One vendor has agreed to make them for us if we can provide detailed interior measurements.

Does anybody out there have interior dimensions that can be used?

They showed an example of what a template layout looks like.

Me too. I'd buy a set if this gets put together.

Have that style in my Cayenne.

Great idea Randy. I'm in for a set as well.

These look very nice. I just ordered a set for my wife's car (Cadillac). I will review and possibly use them to format a template for 928.
Thanks,
Dave

BTW, these are not really leather but they are faux leather. I think this basically means vinyl. I am not sure, but that may actually be a better choice for floor mats.
Good luck,
Dave

Gentlemen, let me pose a question. My 89 has been dynamat insulated for noise and sound proofing. The foam padding has been replaced with Rob Budd's and new silverknit carpet, Lloyds floor mats. Does all this material cause the heat to build up on the CE Panel, with it's wood cover? Would these new floor mats hold in excessive heat? Is this really a problem to consider or not?

This is the only car I've ever owned that has all the relays and fuses located in a passenger foot well under the carpet.

Hi Polecat,
My wild guess would be carpet and layers of mat will not cause heat failure of any component under the floorboards.
Good luck,
Dave

I had a sizeable amp installed over the board for the fuse cover. It generated tons of heat and no issues other than it shutting off because of thermal protection.

I could go for some new mats. Interested to see how this turns out. Really like those in the Cayenne

Dave & Sterling, thanks for the clarification. I'd be in for a set of these new mats myself! So, who is going to do the measuring?

I will receive my mats in about a month. I'll report on their quality and fit (for a 2003 Cadillac Sedan DeVille, my deceased father's car), with pics. From there I can take some measurements that will maybe fit with their style. The 928 has a center console and the Cadillac does not, but I'll post a drawing. Others can as well, of course. Maybe together we can design a set of mats. Does anyone care about rear seat mats? I will measure them anyway.
Thanks,
Dave

If this is the same company that sells on Amazon...I’ve had good luck with them. Mine are about a year old in my Daily LS460. Had a problem with the original drivers mat, they replaced no questions asked. I’d be in for a set.

These pics were day of install. They are “pleather”, but I think actual leather would be a terrible material for a floor mat...the wrinkles smoothed out once they settled in.
