This was my lady friend's second Third Coast. She really enjoyed it, commented once again on how super friendly all the people were to her and wants to return next year.
I know I have generally been amazed at how friendly and helpful 928 people are. My suspicion is that it stems from two main things: respect for owning one of these amazing cars and being part of a tribe that is often treated as lower caste by owners of other Porsche models. I think the fact that this year featured People's Choice awards for both 928 and non-928 cars is evidence that the group does not look down on owners of other cars.

Third Coast was another Wonderful Fun-Filled Event with some wonderful people. It was great meeting a few new people and visiting again with our friends we only get to see once a year. We love you guys so much!
Our event is always changing trying to accommodate such a large group and so many demands. It takes a lot of planning, patience and help from a lot of people, lots of chain emails and a lot of decisions to be made. Thank you, Chuck. You have always provided great support for this event. Chuck has been great in booking our hotel at some great rates, helping us make the hard decisions, and making sure everyone has a good time. If you don’t like something – It’s Chuck’s fault. Just Kidding. But if you have a complaint you can email Chuck at….
It is always a pleasure to put this event together and share the joy, adventure and excitement of the events and drives on Saturday and Sunday.
Thank you Mr & Mrs Collete. They helped prep & cook for Sunday’s car show luncheon.
I’m sure there are many other people who help with all the events all weekend. Thank you so much for your assistance in helping make this event go smoothly, helping keep everyone safe, help everyone have fun, and helping us all stay out of trouble.
Most of all, I want to say, none of this would be possible without the great support of Roger Tyson, his family and my family as well.
I have the best job in the world and it is very rewarding to help in these events and help our customers every day and have such a great boss as Roger, my wonderful and fun co-worker Mercedes & her husband Miguel (who does alot, including making us laugh Saturday night and who wasn't feeling so well Sunday morning), and Zane who is our wonderful support Mom to us all. I have to say a special thanks to my husband MikeV who is so patient with all the time this takes up at home during work hours, past work hours, early morning and who is so helpful on routes, driving and providing 928 support to everyone anytime. He and our son Michael had two 928s they worked on non-stop for weeks getting them prepared for Third Coast. He is such a great PR person for the event, 928sRus, as well as such a great dad & mentor to Little Mikey, the future of the Porsche 928 owners group.
Along with 928sRus, we all also need to let our other sponsors know how much they are appreciated. These sponsors show their support to the 928 community by providing parts, services and donations for worldwide events. These sponsors help keep our 928s on the road and they all work together, when needed, to provide/manufacture parts and provide various services to our classic cars. We should all let them know how much we appreciate their support.
