Yes, 45 with this wind advisory here is biting. Now it makes me think "I know the AC works on my '86.5 but I never tested the heat" Will find out soon enough!

Well looks like I will be the parking lot repair project this year. Was going to run up to Wal-Mart and grab a few things before everyone arrives, jumped in the GTS turned the key and the starter won't engage, can hear it spin. Phone call to Roger and Mercedes will be bringing a starter down later today.

May be a stuck solenoid. Did you try to lightly smack it with a blunt object? I had car years ago that I had to start everyday that way until one day I hit the starter and the casing broke in half. I was an intern making less than minimum wage so you do what ya gotta. Good luck.

I'm sure that's it, rained this morning so waiting for it to dry out a little before crawling under it. I drove a Ford truck for almost a year using the hammer method to start it, there was a nice dent in the starter when I finally replaced it.
Responded to PM, I'm hanging out in Hampton Inn lobby if anyone else is here and just wants to BS about these wonderful machines. Too cold and windy to walk anywhere.
