I was having the "Alien" thought myself, though along some different lines.

I believe this is based on an older model 928, since the exhaust comes out towards the side, and it has the square mirrors (which really look out of place.

I can't help it but find the rear end quite interesting. Isn't this the "flush" look that many owners of old buggers (gosh, I hate that expression) wish for their cars? In this case it's nicely formed to go with the round shapes of the rear bumper cover.

On the front, less would certainly have been more, and I doubt the engine gets enough cooling air with the license plate mounted inside the air duct...

I'm with you, Nicole. My first thought (after I decided that I kinda like it) was why go through all that work and leave the flag mirrors on?

How do you change a taillight bulb? How do you tell if it's out to begin with? And how many extra struts does it take to keep the hatch open?

I like it, nothing I would like to own but it´s always really nice to see when people care about the cars! And do something about them.
But I am really in to sleepers.....thats what I like.

I think if those rear tail-light covers were available in clear plexiglass/acrylic, people would like them more. Right now they look like bug eyes. If the car was black, those covers might work better...

G;

A guy in South Africa was marketing those rear light covers a few years ago. In many different colors as well. I have a set from the original batch. Try contacting Dave Roberts, he was to be the US contact for the SA dude.

If you absolutely have to have a set, I may be persuaded to part w/ mine (front and rears).

cheers Scott,

how come you don't have them on your car?
do they look awful? Or do you need to have the whole bodykit thing to pull them off?

i might take them off you, if you have no use for them.... what do the fronts look like?

The funny thing is, i am south african, and i am going to SA on my honeymoon in March. i wonder if she would notice if i nipped out for a bit to find the guy who makes them?? )
