Here are my search results so far on this topic:
1) Have a copy of Ed Scherer's "Converting Porsche 928 Interior Lighting to LEDs, 5/13/13" but this was written for '87 and up. The last couple of pages have a nice listing of LED replacement bulbs.
Looking at the POD pictures in this excellent write up, it is definitely different than my 1985 Instrument POD. Hence the title of this post.
2) The Superbrightled.com web page only has 3 bulbs listed for the POD. And from Ed's write up, there certainly are quite a few more. And I don't know the sizes of the original incandescent bulbs to cross reference.
3) Garage9.com has a couple of nice LED kits pulled together but they are for MY's 78-82 and 89-95.
Hopefully someone on this Forum can help me out with this.
Make a note that the three backlight LEDs will cause a short if installed as is. Those bulbs fit in a removable socket. Take a look at the socket and you will see that the wires on the new bulb will touch both + and -. Compare to the old bulbs. You must bend the wires so they only touch one side.
I went with warm white to mimic the look of incandescent bulbs. The dimmer will not have much of an effect with the LEDs and you will need something like Mr. Ed Scherer's PWM module if that is a concern. http://www.protizmo.com/Product-Info/AILD-1/
I also put led's in my hvac sliders as well. Drilled a tiny hole and wired them into the light that is already there. I also replaced that with an led as well. It looks really bright in the camera pics but it's not in reality. It does however look much brighter than the original globes. One of my mates said it now looks like a modern car at night.
I never knew there were Brake Pad and Brake PR warning lights. I do however have a Cooling Lvl warning light just below the Tail Lamp warning.
Wonder what else I'm going to find.
Have a new instrument foil and Odometer gear on the way from Roger. Going to be an interesting winter project.
My coolant level warning does not work, I tracked it down to a problem with the central warning "computer". If you convert your exterior brake lamps to LED leave out the warning bulb or it will stay on. On your '85 I think you will have an ABS and belt tension warning as well so get some extra bulbs.

ABS I believe was an option in '85 that my car does not have. I installed a Porkensioner so I permanently grounded the tension warning wire.
I also have LED exterior brake lamps and have not had that warning bulb come on. Actually all my external lights are now LEDs.
