Default 1980 pod switches

I'm in the process of putting together my 1980 928 and when I started to set up the pod switches I found that there were six switch options available in the wiring harness , but only five switch positions in the pod. I have positioned each switch in what I believe to be the right position, but I have no idea of how to utilize the sixth plug. Any help would be helpful...

6th plug is likely for the rear fog light. Euro only. Is yours a US spec?

A pic from an owners manual might help you. I don't have one unfortunately.

Default Pod Switches

No idea. Bought the car twelve years ago. Parked for a long time and I'm just getting around to putting it back in service. Plan on giving it to my son as wedding present this December.
Having said that, the only obstacle that seems to be in my way now, is getting the pod switches back together and buttoning up the dash. Switches were taken apart when I replaced a broken odometer gear, and removed them from the pod.
Reassembled each individual switch by matching connecting lugs on individual sections. Believe they are reassembled correctly, but currently am not in possession of a wiring diagram to confirm. Do you know if a schematic for that section is available? Would be helpful to be able to confirm connections before powering up the units.

Bought the vehicle fifteen years ago from an individual that had just attempted to restore it. Didn't notice that he had failed to restore the rear wiper. He simply removed it, filled the hole, and repainted the vehicle. It doesn't appear that there was ever an attempt to connect the rear fog lights, and have never checked to see if they are there or functional.

Appreciate any help or information you can bring to my attention

The "extra" switch connector as stated, is for the euro fog lamp switch, it can be found on the Drivers left side inside the Pod, usually has the factory black fabric tape over it.
You can purchase the manuals on CD, they also contains lots of extra info.
