He works for Greg Brown. I'm pretty sure that won't be a problem

Someone got one hell of a deal!

I sent Jake a text telling him that heavy drinking and setting a price on a car should not be done at the same time.

Oh, I'm sorry to see you sell it. That is a steal, considering everything you have in it. You may want to consider putting up on BAT.

Good luck with the sale. For what its worth, I did the single dad thing for a while too with twin daughters. The 928 was my daily for the better part of 8 years and worked fine for transporting the kids and hauling their stuff around in the hatch back. It actually makes a pretty good family GT car, even by modern standards. Just in case you reconsider.

This just means that you'll have to get another one to upgrade and update after a little bit of time.

Jake has done the sensible, pragmatic, and “tough decision” thing and shows that he has the true grit to raise the daughter he has. And he has completed more projects (properly) on his car than many people here.

Change is the only constant.

Well put by your dad. I often refer to my 928 as my stay at home adventure (I used to be a guide in the Galapagos Islands and the Andes in Ecuador). I call the car "The mountain in my garage".

Sorry to hear this, but happy the car will be spared the shredded blue tarp treatment.

I'm new here so forgive me if I'm out of line. I was one of the first bidders on this car and I never received any feedback on the bids. I PM'ed the OP and I placed two or three bids. I would have paid more if I new where the price was going. I thought it would've been better if the bidding process was open. Sorry I don't mean to offend anyone I'm new to the board here. Let me know if I'm out of line.

^It's not an auction house, there are no rules. It's just a guy selling his car - there is no transparency or order to it. If you want to buy a car in that manner, try eBay or BAT.

"Try eBay or Bat" come on, I know that, no need to condescend. I didn't know the protocol here. Just wondering.

The protocol is that there is no protocol. All he has to do is list a price and a location and he has satisfied the rules of the forum. By code of honor, however, the first person that posts "I WILL TAKE IT" is usually granted first dibs, but again, that is not a hard and fast rule.
