Hi Scott,

I hope you do know that SITM is mainly about the 928ers and having a running (or assembled :-) 928 is never a prerequisite to coming to our event. Heck just ask Ron, he always has just as much fun as anyone (usually more) at SITM!

Hope to see both of you guys soon!

Dave

Haha! Yep I brought her up there last year in the previously assembled state! Ask Ron about the mountain drive -

I just have to get busy and get done. Between work and the kids sports’ schedules it may be a trip in the pathfinder this year.

cross your fingers tho!

Bah. Don't worry about it Scott. Hell, my first year, I didn't even have a 928...

No need, Ron. After seeing your shenanigans last year, I am bringing a few exhaust mount isolators.

The 79 runs like a beast thanks to Peter. I plan on doing this https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...r-service.html sometime this week. I need to track down the headlight motor issue and potentially pull the cluster and replace the film.

Already booked and bringng the Spyder (as it's my only 928), JP, & George (thanks for the reminder Ron).

It will need it's annual oil change, clay bar, polish, wax, & seal along with the interior detailing, but other than adding a new powered FM antenna should be good to go, as I've been driving it pretty regularly - it's at the airport right now as I'm in PA this week.

I actually need to try and do that stuff before the Mitty at Road Atlanta in a couple weeks, but may not have the time since the Widebody Cayenne is finally coming home this weekend.. .

Looking forward to catching up with everyone for the 20th.

DR, shirt size XL for me and Youth Small or Medium for JP

In the middle of a surprise intake refresh. Now trying to do all of the below before SITM. You'll note the theme of me NOT wanting to get under the intake again for a LONG time ....
  • Re-Paint Spare CAM Covers and Intake (Done)
  • Intake Refresh (In Progress - Parts on the way!)
  • Replace most sensors on engine (intake refresh ++)
  • Thorough Steam Clean of Engine (In Progress)
  • DIY Nickel Plating on as much hardware as possible (Might do..feels extravagant at the moment but I have a parts tumbler and some nickel anode - time to do some science when the wife isn't looking)
  • Fuel Components Refresh (Regulators, Dampers, New Lines, New Injectors [Ford])
  • Replace Petcock (in lieu of Heater Control Valve)
  • Replace Oil Cooler and change oil
  • Transmission Service and Diff Fluid Change (although may just drain and refill both)
  • Release Flex Plate
  • Clean and Deoxit ALL grounds (especially those tricky ones at the back of the engine
  • Possibly swap ground cable block to chassis
  • Explore if adding extra auxiliary grounds under intake make sense.
  • Take car for annual alignment (might skip)
  • Nivea the seats
  • Clean the holy heck out of the car
  • Drink Beer
  • Pick up kid from Final exam on Friday June 2nd at 10AM and haul butt to Banner Elk from Jacksonville (520 miles)
See you at SITM!

I'm working on a different intake setup for the Spyder to clean up the look a bit and draw colder air into the supercharger instead of the air from behind the radiator. We'll see what I come up with in a few weeks.
