Gonna install Tim Murphy's S/C kit on Gretch. Already did the short shifter and am in the middle of replacing the clock (digital to analog).

Well, now that it _is_ winter, guess it's time to get to work on the beasts.

'78 OB:

tbelt retension, new AC dryer/evap, replace rear muffler (original fell off at PA turnpike gas stop), better glue for hood insulation, fresh axle boots, window roller kits.

'84 S:

tbelt retension, TC bearings/seals.

'99 ZRX1100:

2mm overbore, forged 12:1 pistons, install Cope Racing head, time cams.

Dodged a maintenance bullet yesterday. I was contemplating a 78 Euro 5spd for $2k locally. Guy brought it over to 'do the deal'. Car was a mess. Poor repaint. Interior trashed, full of acorns and parts. Engine started. Eventually. Valves all a clatter. Then proceeded to leak fuel at the accumulator, filter, pump, tank. Pump was held in place with zip ties. Fuse/relay panel laying on pass. floor. Didn't take long to figure that this example had nightmare potential. I could certainly rescue it and bring it back to life but it would have been $5k and 6 months of every weekend. No thanks.

Happy wrenching, all....

8" headlights
New lower ball joints
New tie rods
Bilstein/Eibach upgrade

Considering powder coat intake and cam covers, replacing all rubber under intake, send injectors out for calibration, BUT, the beast is running great and I'm not sure I want to mess with this just now.

Well is everybody going to meet their goals for this winter? Mine got tossed right out the window. Descided just to do a thorough tech/prep of Heidi and take her to SRP for a day of stretching her legs. The rest will have to wait till fall when I will have a full winter to work with.

18 days and counting!

By now, everyone here is sick of my reporting on the progress of my project, so let me just say that it is finished.

I have actually got two! The installation of Bobs' interior into Helmut (man is that going to look sharp or what) and a secret one that will probably become obvious at SRP. And of course a bunch of smaller ones too. Like getting the H4's mounted, getting the V1 mounted and wired, steering wheels mounted, and still got to get an Ott test pipe.

I'll be taking a crusty S4 suspension and brakes and completely refinishing them. New brake lines, lower ball joints, rotors, wheel bearings, piston seals, etc... Can't wait to stomp on these puppies at the end of the front straight at Watkins Glen! Here is a before shot:
