I did notice it. it looks like the structural integrety has been compromised significantly, as any tension should cause the steel ring to deform......
Joe, was there not enough room to run the plumbing under the brace?
That is a very nice looking install, I must say. Makes me almost wish hunting season was over so I could get started on my install. (but not really).

My Procharger is on my Mercedes 560 SEC but since we were talking about centrifugal blowers I thought I would share. My Procharger system is a custom built kit.
I'm running 7 psi of boost and am seeing a 75% increase in the stock hp. I am using methanol/water mix to cool the charge. Max hp I saw was 346.6 @5252 rpm and 300 RWHP at 4000 rpm. Max RWTQ was 404.2 at 3800 rpm. I'm blowing through a stock CIS-E system. There is probably a lot of hp left on the table since it was running lean at the upper rpm's. The CR of my motor is 9.0:1. No issues with blow-by. I'm going to up the boost to around 10-12 psi and see what I get but it should be around 400 to 450 RWHP. I'm seeing around 20 RWHP with each pound of boost.

It's getting the new rear wing, from the group buy, painted and mounted today. When it returns, I have to send my Electromotive system back to the manufacturer to see why I am not getting a tach signal. After the Electromotive unit returns, I've got to complete the break-in of the new engine.
My SEC is a sixteen valve V8. I'm really pleased with my numbers so far. The car started life as a real slug......now it is a whole lot of fun. Lots of tire shredding fun at that.

Well what I meant was that your electromotive didn't come perfectly tuned to run your 928 right? So you had to tune it. Spark timing, fuel trim, etc. I will have to do the same with my DTA when I get my car together (when?
...So you said that you broke in the motor. Well with new or uncompleted maps, I would be concerned about washing down the cylinder walls and ruining NEW rings, etc.

It seems you and Marc were excellent firemen. I saw your car at Devek a week or so ago and the damage appeared to be far less than a similar accident Tom Cloutier had a few months back. Tom's fire vaporized nearly all the hood liner whereas you only melted a small corner of it. On the other hand, your fire seems to have wiped out more wiring. Tom's was largely intact and with a little vacuum line and a few wire patches we had his car back running that day. I hated to see that your fire singed that beautifully finished intake manifold.
Leaving the clips off...I guess I don't need to tell you what I would say to the engine builder.

You say the ATI Procharger is loud? Could it be from that horrific 135 degree bend in your plumbing just after the S/C.....Holy Cow. No wonder it wistles down the interstate!
In Corcky Bell's book 'Maximum Boost' he says to make sure the bends in the plumbing are very smooth and Minimal! Maybe thats why your getting all that air noise. Just a thought. I love the Big Bad Blower sound though!
Also, on your high RPM lean problem, has that issue been resolved yet?
If not, I would not add more boost until it is, or you might just get some detonation in there, Baaaaddddd!

Good advice but it sometimes not easy to follow. Space dictates design. I guess I could always run the tubing through the hood for a smoother approach.
There is no high rpm lean problem. Rather, it was just a little lean and that can be corrected with a turn of a screw. At the time, I was only paying for two runs and not tuning on the dyno.
